The Qabbalah

(pronounced ka-ba-LA, stressing the last syllable) is the Jewish mystical, spiritual, and occult tradition that has existed under various names and in various forms since the time of the early prophets, when the mysteries were taught to Abraham by the priest Malkizedek. (I am aware that some scientists say the Qabbalah has its origin in the Middle Ages, but this is a simplification based only on that which was written down. The term Qabbalah has been used only since the twelfth century, but long before this time, there was a living spiritual tradition handed down from teacher to
student over the ages.)

In the Bible we find several passages that seem to forbid any kind of magic, so how is it possible that a spiritual tradition based on the Bible includes magic? The Bible mentions that certain acts of magic are forbidden, and those who practice them are subject to the death penalty: “Thou shalt not suffer a sorceress (Mechashefah) to live” (Exodus 22:17).

Sorcerers or black magicians are called kashafim or mechashefim. Mechashefah is the female singular form. (The female form is used because sorceresses were considered to be more common than sorcerers. Even today, more women than men are engaged in the occult.) Both kashafim and mechashefim come from the verb kashaf, meaning “to enchant or bewitch,” and thus describe a person who undertakes acts of evil or dark magic, for to enchant or bewitch someone means either to manipulate someone against their free will or to cause harm to someone. These acts of magic are clearly forbidden in the Bible, and those who perform them are to be punished.

In the Talmud we find a more philosophical clarification of what makes sorcerers evil: “Rabbi Yochanan said: Why are they called sorcerers (kashafim/mechashefim)?—Because they oppose the Heavenly Agencies” (Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 67b).

A sorcerer is someone who acts against the Powers of Heaven, and thus in direct conflict with the Divine Plan and the Will of God. It is only logical to condemn every act—magical or not—that is directed against the Will of God. In all of this, however, we do not find every act of magic forbidden.
Did not the prophets and priests have magical powers? Did not Moses and Aaron perform the sameacts as the magicians of Egypt?

And YHVH spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying: When Pharaoh shall speak unto thee, saying: Show a wonder for thee; then thou shalt say unto Aaron: Take thy rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so, as YHVH had commanded; and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men (chachamim) and the sorcerers (mechashefim); and they also, the scribe-magicians (chartumim, literally, “scribes,” i.e., lecture priests) of Egypt, did in like manner with their secret arts. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.

And YHVH said unto Moses: Say unto Aaron: Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone. And Moses and Aaron did so, as YHVH commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. And the fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians could not drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt. And the scribe-magicians (chartumim) of Egypt did in like manner with their secret arts.

And YHVH said unto Moses: Say unto Aaron: Stretch forth thy hand with thy rod over the rivers, over the canals, and over
the pools, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt. And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and
the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. And the scribe-magicians (Chartumim) did in like manner with their secret arts, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.

And YHVH said unto Moses: Say unto Aaron: Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the earth, that it may become gnats
throughout all the land of Egypt. And they did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and there were gnats upon man, and upon beast; all the dust of the earth became gnats throughout all the land of Egypt. And the scribe-magicians (Chartumim) did so with their secret arts to bring forth gnats, but they could not; and there were gnats upon man, and upon beast. Then the scribe-magicians (Chartumim) said unto Pharaoh: This is the Finger of God (Elohim).

You will notice that there is no difference in what Moses and Aaron did to the magicians and sorcerers, except that Moses and Aaron acted on behalf of God, while the sorcerers tried to act against the Divine Will. Consequently, Moses and Aaron were superior. Thus we learn that magic is not forbidden in general, but only if it is not in harmony with the Divine Will.

The Talmud distinguishes between three types of magic.

1. Black magic: This is forbidden, and the sorcerer who performs this kind of magic has committed a major crime and will be punished severely.

2. Illusion (stage magic): This is not real magic at all, but an illusion mistaken for magic. The charlatan who performs a trick or an illusion and pretends that this is an occult act has committed the minor crime of misleading others. He will not, however, be punished. (If he did not pretend to do real magic, it would not be a crime at all, but merely entertainment.)

Seekers on the occult path sometimes look for great physical phenomena. These will always be misleading, for magic happens not on the physical plane, but on the astral plane or higher. Magic may, however, affect the physical plane, but if a magician heals by magic, the patient will often recover much faster than expected, but he will still recover naturally; a broken bone will not
heal instantly. If a magician causes it to rain, it will rain after a while, but according to the laws of nature—that is, if there are no clouds in the sky, the clouds have to appear first, and then it can rain. It will not rain out of a blue sky. If any phenomenon looks like the physical “stage magic” type, this is what it will be—illusion and not magic. If the person who demonstrates it claims to
be performing magic, he is a charlatan.

3. White magic: This is magic applied for spiritual purposes, such as to understand the Mystery of Creation. It can also be used to heal or help when used in harmony with the Divine Will. (Note that whenever you heal or help someone with magic, you must first have their permission, for otherwise you act against their free will, which was given to humans by God—thus you act
against God.)

Magical powers were usually seen as a sign of spiritual understanding and achievement, as in the case of Moses, who was invested with the power to perform miracles as an outer sign of his inner spiritual authority (Exodus 4:1–9), or in the case of Rav Chanina and Rav Oshaaya, whose
knowledge and understanding of the Sefer Yetzirah (which is one of the foundations of theoretical Qabbalah) enabled them to perform practical magic.

The idea behind Bible Magick is simple; all verses in the Bible are charged with spiritual
energies. This power of creation is called “LOGOS,” meaning “WORD.” It is thought that God the Creator used the LOGOS to initiate creation. The Universe and everything within it are divine words that have solidified. You can imagine that they were once dissolved in the sound vibrations of the divine cosmic word. Each thing we see is a divine word become solid.

In this way we can understand the deeper meaning of the beginning of The Gospel According to John:
'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and a God was the Word. The Word was with God at the beginning, and through it all things came to be; no single thing was created without it.'
Everything that came into existence emerged from the Word. When we take these statements as literally as possible, it is easy to acknowledge the creative power of the Word or logos. LOGOS must not be translated as anything except word, because this passage means that the unspoken creative word underlies all external creation. The resounding word is the source of everything that exists. If we went back through the ages, we would hear all the objects and beings we now know as animals, plants, minerals, and humans resounding through cosmic space.

For centuries, people have been using the Holy Scripture to induce magickal principles. Some of this has come down to us in the magickal practices of Hoodoo and Folk magick. The majority of these ancient techniques have been handed down from generation to generation strictly by word of mouth and little has actually ever been written down. Because of this, the secret of
Bible magick has been kept within small groups scattered across the globe. Many have no idea that other practitioners of the ancient art even exist.

The rise of evangelical Christianity has forced many Bible magick adepts to go underground, or even give up practicing altogether. For a long time churches have taught that all magick is inherently evil and that anyone who practices it is to be condemned and possibly even put to death. This has little actually to do with a few verses in the Bible that speak against witches and diviners, and more to do with the churches power base that has held control over the people for centuries.

It is our divine right as children of Creation to understand and glorify the secrets of the Universe. God, the Creative force of reality has provided for us the powers of creation, handed down from the Eons in the form of words that resonate with the energies of Creation. Despite what the ministers,
priests and imams have tried to suppress, the power of Creation is within all of us, and it is Gods will that we use these powers to comprehend and eventually rejoice with Him the ultimate beauty of Creation.

The key to understanding Bible magick is to realize that every word, every verse in the Holy Scriptures can be used for magick spells. Some techniques that I will mention in this thread are tried and true and have been used for centuries. However, once you understand the power behind these
words, you are free to try your own spells using different verses not only from the Bible, but from other Holy writings that were excluded from the Bible, other religious and spiritual writings, as well as inspirational writings and even poems.

Spells and Charms

Segullot (singular: segullah) are small but very powerful spells or charms or magical invocations. Some involve a physical action (such as writing), while many are simply spoken.

The use of segullot is not high magic, but they were seen as an important help in overcoming the problems of everyday life. In everyday life, we encounter problems and difficulties that we cannot influence, or that we can influence only to a limited degree.

Through the ages, this is when people
have asked for the help of the Divine, and those who knew about the ancient mysteries have used their knowledge of the Holy Names and magical formulas to find help, blessing, guidance, and healing in
matters both mundane and spiritual—both for themselves and for those they loved.
Segullot are such a help. In times when technology did not make life as easy as today, magic was used to aid. But even today, many problems of life are beyond our influence, and now there is as much
reason to use the ancient secrets as there was in the past.

Some people hesitate to use magic for personal benefit, but we know from scripture that both the prophets and the ancient sages used their powers to help and heal those they loved, doing so with the
blessing of God. Why should we not do the same? As long as we observe the rules of ethics, there is no reason why we should not make life better if we have the power to do so.

The question has been asked a million times throughout the ages:

Is it wrong to want money and prosperity?

Many Biblical scholars preach that God intends us to be happy. To live life to the fullest as long as we do not hurt others in the process. For a lot of us, having enough money to live comfortably is a priority of life, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I am to inform you that with the Bible, all things are possible. There is a buried
treasure of knowledge in the Holy book if you know how to interpret it correctly. Wealth and prosperity comes from a state of mind, a projection of energy; we have to open up our minds and accept what God wants us to have. We must be willing and accepting of the energy that we have to
attract whatever it is that we really want.

Just what exactly is Magick? Unfortunately, there is no single, correct answer to this question. You will find answers as varied as the belief systems which incorporate magical elements and the people who practice within each system.
In seeking a definition of the term, perhaps we should look no further than the most mundane of sources:

“It is the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of various techniques
as incantations that presumably assure human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of nature.”
- Webster English Dictionary

Or we can defer to old philosophers and alleged magicians for meaning. Aleister Crowly defined Magick as:

“The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will."

In The Lemegeton (Lesser Book of Solomon, the King), we find:

“Magick is the highest, most Absolute, most Divine Knowledge of natural Philosophy,
advanced in its works and wonderful operations by a right understanding of the inward and occult (hidden) virtue of things; so that true agents being applied to proper patients, strange and admirable effects will hereby be produced. Whence magicians are profound and diligent searchers into Nature; they, because of their skill, know how to anticipate an effect, which to the vulgar shall seem to be a miracle."

Or one of these might well do:
“Magick is the traditional science of the secrets of nature which has been transmitted to us by our ancestors of the priesthood of the Magi." — Eliphas Levi

“Magick is the application of human Will (originating in the Soul) to the fast evolutionof the Living forces of nature." -Gerard Encausse

“The art of White magic is the art of using so-called Spiritual or invisible forces, to
obtain visible results." -Franz Hartmann

A more contemporary definition describes Magick as a kind of energy which pervades the cosmos. Others see it as a psychic tool by which we may influence the material world using symbols and ritual. Many see it as a means of coming to unite with the divine; some consider it to be the exercise of will or Will, or the manipulation of reality.
In other words, only the individual can determine what Magick is or isn't for themselves. Magick is exactly what you believe it to be, for it requires your belief to be anything at all. As one wise and
unknown sage put it: “Magick is Within You!"

There is a power in the universe. This power is the inexplicable force behind the wonders that early humans encountered. The Earth, the solar systems, the stars - all that is manifest - is a product of this power.

This power is also within all things. It is within humans, plants, stones, colors, shapes and sounds. This power can be roused and concentrated.
Power is “awakened" and moved through ritual dance or other physical movement; through sounds such as music or chanting; through manipulation of various objects through concentration or magical visualization.
This power can be “programmed" with specific vibrations or energies to affect a specific result.

This result is the spell's purpose. It may be to speed healing, attract money or to bring love into one's life. The power is programmed through the magician's visualization or the tools and ritual pattern
chosen. This power can be moved and directed.

That power which exists within humans can be moved to other humans and to places and objects, and also transferred from objects to human beings. It is moved and directed through visualization and with the use of tools such as images, wands, swords, pointed fingers and concentration.

This power, once moved, has an affect on its target. Once this power arrives at its destination, it changes the object, person or place. It accomplishes this due to its specific energies. The method by
which the power changes its target is determined during ritual or is left up to circumstances at the time of its arrival.

This, in short, is the rationale of Magick. Many of its practitioners aren't consciously aware of these ideas. Others certainly have different explanations and ideas concerning Magick. However, broadly speaking, the only effective spells and rituals are those that are so constructed that any sufficiently involved magician, properly performing it, will raise energy, give it purpose, direct it toward its goal and affect its target.

All religions contain spoken and written spells in the form of prayers and blessed items. The Rosary is an enhancer, by which a person concentrates and focuses their attention on prayers which they repeat over and over again. This repetition accompanied by concentrating on one bead after another is in reality, a spell to awaken the inner consciousness to reach for God and higher inspiration. Prayer beads and wheels are used in other forms in Eastern, and other religions, as well as in Christianity.

The various medals upon which are inscribed Latin Phrases and images of Holy characters are talismans, or written spells, designed to focus the believer's attention on the Saint or Angel for the purpose of invoking the illustrious being to grant favors of protection, good fortune, healing, etc.
Saints' prayers often have coercive force, while magickal charms and rituals have a supplicatory element. As well, Christianity shared many assumptions that were basic to a magickal worldview.

Primary among these was that of a vitalistic Universe divided into three levels, the super-celestial, celestial, and terrestrial, each of which was intimately linked to the others through a series of correspondences, sympathies, and antipathies that might be hidden (occult) but that were regular,
rational, and discoverable.

Christianity and magick also agreed on the existence of invisible, spiritual entities (angels, demons, devils), who interacted with humans in many ways, including sexually. Christianity and magic both emphasized the power and efficacy of words, a belief that was intensified by the Christian reliance on the spoken and written word and by the notion of Christ as the incarnate word of God. Many magickal prayers and formulas were simply adaptations of Christian formulations.

A further link between Christianity and magick was the belief that hidden powers and virtues existed in natural objects (candles, incense, amulets, talismans, relics, holy water, the sign of the cross, the Eucharist, church bells), which could be tapped for human use. Given these similarities, one can conclude that throughout the centuries magick often seems indistinguishable from religion.

In Lord Jesus' famous Sermon on the Mount, as recorded in St, Matthew's Gospel, chapter 5, 6 and 7, he gives unmistakable formulas of words and actions for dealing with the problems of life.
Also, when asked, “Lord, teach us to pray” he gave us an actual spoken formula, embodied in “The Lord's Prayer.”

Even though some misguided religious devotees condemn such practices as being of the devil, they are in fact using this practice, ignorant of that fact because of the misinformation they receive from their leaders.

Many people find comfort each day by reading the Biblical book of Psalms, yet, little do they know that this is a book of magickal sacred spells, that when used in a certain manner, can work seeming miracles.

The first thing to keep in mind is that there are many types of practices for inner
development and personal power. In this thread I will attempt to share the ones which I feel would be of the greatest benefit to the readers of this thread.

The second thing to remember is that each spell described is a magnetic operation. By that I mean that it is designed to awaken latent powerful forces within the practitioner, to help bring about the desired results. Such magnetic operations should be prepared in secrecy and with reverence. If you tell anyone what you are doing it will cause some of your energy to be drained from this work, especially if they are an unbeliever in such things. Therefore, any effort you make to prepare correctly
and work secretly will be greatly rewarded.

Do not do any of these things when you are angry or upset. Do not eat for a few hours before performing any practice described.

The third thing to remember is that practice makes perfection. It will do no good just to read about these things, you must practice them. Do not be disappointed if your first attempts at Bible Verse Magick do not succeed. Your mind must be clearly focused on what you are asking for. As well, if your spell does not seem to work, perhaps you should rethink what you are asking for.

Often the Universe has a path set out for you that you are required to follow, no matter what. By attempting a magickal spell to counteract this path of destiny may interfere with an important aspect of your reason for being on this planet in the first place. Remember to try and look at the big picture rather than just the narrow viewpoint of your ego.

I will attempt to reveal the spells that require a minimum of preparation or materials. However, some of the rituals do call for using such objects as candles, incense and crystals. But do not let this frighten you away as Bible Spells can be performed by anyone.

You are to keep all of these things in a safe place, where they will stay clean and untouched by anyone else. Again I repeat, keep your work secret. If you must share this with anyone, be sure they are truly with you in your work and conviction.
It would be best if you have your own room to do these things that is totally private. However, if this is not the case, do not let that stop you from doing this work: just try to arrange things when you are alone, in any room that is convenient for you. Also, any table or shelf can become your altar, so
long it is clean.

Finally, and most important, remember that this work is between you and God. You are working towards a goal, so believe in its importance and keep the faith. Your success or failure depends on your constant effort and faith. Be patient, it took some time for you to become the person that you are with your strong and weak points, so allow for some time to change things. How long it takes once you begin depends on your relationship with the higher powers of life. Therefore, strive to be in harmony with all forms of life as much as possible.

In some of the spells it is required that you speak unusual words; I will try to illustrate their sounds as simply as possible, but if you still have a problem pronouncing them, then just repeat them mentally, although they are more effective when spoken aloud.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAGICK AND PRAYER

It is often a mistaken belief that inanimate "things" possess magickal powers. But, with the exception of crystals, spiritual or magickal objects are just that, objects. They have no power of their own; they are a means of focusing one's energy on the task at hand.

This statement doesn't mean that certain herbs, roots, minerals and scents are extraordinarily helpful in harnessing the powers of the mind and universe. Creating “magick" takes vision, time and dedication. Yes, people do dab a few drops of gambling oil on themselves and walk into casinos and
win big. But the truth be known, this is the exception more than the rule. Getting consistent results in your magickal undertakings requires effort, which is why they call it spiritual “work."

Two means through which one may attempt to change their circumstances are Magick and Prayer. Both refuse to accept weakness as a limit of endeavor or to accept the status quo as normal. Both require belief or faith in “the process" in order to be successful. But, this is where the comparisons end. In order to determine which way of tackling a situation is best suited to the individual, it is helpful to discern what each is in its own terms.

Prayer is not a power, but a request. It is not so much a technique as a conversation. To pray is to say “No" to despair and “Amen" to the “Yes" of the Divine. So, it is the means to end problems and open the door to joy.
We cannot guarantee what Spirit will do with our prayers. This is good because it means prayer cannot make bad things happen.

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and ef ective."
(James 5:16).

By the same token, we do not know how our requests will be addressed, if at all. Prayer is also deeper than words.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26-27).

If we use Prayer as the basis of our Spiritual undertakings we must understand that it is not our will which becomes manifest - but that of the Divine. We may not get exactly what we ask for. We may get more or less. The belief that the Spirit works in our best interest implies it does not matter. If you do not ask, you do not receive. If you do not receive, it was not meant to be.

In contrast to Prayer is Magick...the belief that supernatural forces can be controlled, influenced and manipulated by executing a ritualistic formula, either physical or verbal.

The two key components of this definition are A. Ritual and B. Manipulation. In order for Magick to be effective, it must manipulate energy. This may be the Creator energy, an herbal energy, a spiritual force, planetary energy, etc. It must also adhere to the Webster's Dictionary definition of ritual:

“A prescribed procedure for conducting religious ceremonies."

When one makes the attempt to manipulate or coerce any energy into performing his/her own will, Magick has been performed. This is what takes Magick above and beyond Prayer. The magician,
not the Divine decides upon the desired outcome.

Magickal rituals do incorporate prayer-like incantations or spoken requests. However, in this context the magician understands he can constrain, coerce, and force the divinity to do his will. Many religions use sacrifices and elaborate doxologies to induce God to favor requests, grant wishes and perform miracles upon demand. Is this Magick? Yes.
Religion and Magick are not mutually exclusive. While often unspoken, they frequently walk hand in hand.

When considering ritual and magic as a means of influencing the outcome of any situation, this is probably the most important question one can ask oneself.

At the least, magickal rituals require three
basic components:
1. Statement of Intention ~ What do you want? What is the goal you plan to achieve? Is it attainable? What will you do on the physical or mundane plane to back up the work? What is your time frame? How will you convey these goals to your Spirit or source of power?

2. Raising Energy ~ How will you connect with your Spiritual Alignments or tap into Universal Energy? Invocation? Evocation? Chanting? Drumming? Dancing? Harnessing an Element? Incantation? Meditation? Prayer?

3. Projecting Energy Towards Goal ~ Once you have raised the energy or called the Spirit how will you convey your will and target? How do you get the energy to where it needs to go?

If you do not know what you want and/or do not understand the method or means of raising and projecting Energy then you probably are not ready for much spell work. These three simple steps are the heart of every ritual.

The technique that is highly suggested for most problems that require ritual should also include Prayer. Pray to the Divine for assistance with your Magick spells and for a successful outcome without any harm to others.

If he doesn't know you, and you read a particular verse 777 times, You are on your own .

If you like, eat the whole Bible verses, the almighty will not respond to you if you are not in tune with him.

However, you can throw a verse in a river 77 times and cover your face with black cloth and still get a response.

THAT IS SURELY NOT FROM GOD.

He is my father. I know his works.

A demon can respond to you.... and consequently, you become oppressed.

Segullah for a Lost Thing

This is for someone who has lost something and does not know where and how he lost it.

Seven times on a piece of paper, write the name of the item together with the name of the person who lost it and the name of his mother: [Insert name] son/daughter of [Insert name of mother].

Then say:
This mystery is on (for) the name of [Insert name], son/daughter of [Insert name of mother] NATAR YEMEYNATAR ASGINTAL YEMEYNATAR

For three nights, place it under your head (i.e., pillow), and you will remember where the lost item is.

Spell for protection against reptiles

Text: Rylands 104, section 4
Description: paper, 19 x 14 em, folded several times
Bibliography: Walter E. Crum, Catalogue of the Coptic Manuscripts in the
Collection of the John Rylands Library, Manchester, 53-55; Angelicus M.
Kropp, Ausgewiihlte koptische Zaubertexte, 268-69
Translator: James E. Goehring

This prayer for protection against the bite of reptiles is part of a series of spells for a variety of purposes. In addition to this protective spell, other sections of the text are used against fever, for protection "from
everything," and perhaps on behalf of "a mother in childbirth." In his edition of the Coptic text, Walter E. Crum does not include indications of line divisions.

TEXT
A prayer. When you recite it, no reptile can bite (you).

0 Jesus, I am in Mary. 0 John, I am in Elizabeth. The lord Jesus said, "Let nothing I ... ] at all I ... ] me, N., on this day and this
night." It is the mouth of the lord Sabaoth that said this: Let no reptile bite me, but let all reptiles of the earth become stone in
my presence. Let all those on earth become as stone and iron in my presence. For it is the mouth of the lord Sabaoth that said this
and the words of the lord are true. It is done.

There's no single power in the bible. All powers are in the minds of the individuals. People with realmindz are more powerful than a million bible verses put together.
