Some terms includes:

Fine tunning/Auto fine tunning

Search/Auto search

PAL/SECAM/AUTO

Tracking set on video player.

Someone outside turning the pole/antenna and another person inside checking the reception.

'o ti daa, dapada, di e di e..... '

Lol@o ti daa, dapada, di e die.

I can remember screaming that to whoever was turning the antenna manually outside
Most especially during a windy day or after a rainfall, all channels will dissappear
Thank God for Grace!

I find it hard to believe that our current technological advances would go obsolete. Wait, after tablets, 60gb memory card/flash drive, flat screen TVs, Internet accessiblity, super slim 2 terrabyte laptops. Wetin cum remain again!!!!! flying laptops or invincible flash drive lolzzzz

Video cassette players/recorders(VCR).

Heavy machines.

My dad placed his in the room and connected a device(sender) transmitting the vids to the sitting room and to some neighbors.

You can also get other people's movie on your tv while tunning.

Were you living in Surulere at the time? I remember back in the 90s getting to watch movies my neighbor sent out through video sender. The first day I got the signal, it was like I was in the future. I can't describe the feeling. I love technology.

We were rearranging some boxes hidden away at home on this day when my kids saw Panan Percy Paul's 'Bring Down Your Glory' stereo cassette and they were like "daddy what is this (thing)?" Absent mindedly I told them it was a cassette. It was their looks and responses that drew my attention to the fact that they'd never seen it before then.
