There are lots and lots of unscrupulous elements that defraud unsuspecting members of the public by processing fake documents that are not in the government records. I encounter at least one new case every week of fake documents especially when people come to renew their documents in my office.


For a trained eye you can easily detect a fake documents but trust me, many cant even most police officers may not easily tell the difference. The VIOs and FRSC officials can tell a fake document easily and this has lead to several embarrassments.
