What’s the big deal in serving 2 terms. Like it’s a taboo to do just 1term.

are all Lagosians in the Parliament? 95% of Lawmakers in Lagos state assembly had the backing of Tinubu, just as the 100% lawmakers in ekiti state house of assembly as the backing of Fayose

Those that say Ambode didn't do anything in Lagos aren't lagosian!
No Lagos can say it to your face that Gov Akinwunmi Ambode didn't work in Lagos state..
My neighbour is an APC member, in one of our talks,he commended Ambode, but he said what happened between Ambode,Tinubu and other party members was more than the outside world to see..
We are all speculating,we don't know the real reason!

Pele o Federal govt spokesman. where did you get that your last sentence from? you will just be posting unverified claims here

buhari back down because of election that's close, he wouldn't want to step on Tinubu's toes as election is closed. if Lagos state election happened to be 2020 and buhari won, ambode would be reelected and 100 Tinubu wouldn't have stop that

I didn't think. Buhari left all the 2019 campaign activities in southwest in the hand of Tinubu. buhari can't dare him as election is closed and regarding that southwest are the only hope for his reelection

he can't dare Tinubu prior to the election hence why they later re-uphold the nullification of Lagos primary election they earlier announced

The OP is stupid,he feels every one is gullible like him.Since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, Oyo has had a new leader, every four years. Dr Lam Adesina won the first election that year, but he was replaced four years later by Rashidi Ladoja. Although Ladoja had political troubles which led to a temporary impeachment (that lasted for almost a year before he was reinstated), it was clear he was not going to win a second term as the Ibadan people could not ‘serve a leader’ twice. Ladoja’s successor, Alao Akala also lasted one term. Not until they elected Ajimobi!!!

op is right.

You're the stupid one here. What the OP wrote is "beaten to a second term ticket". That is, denied the chance to represent their parties the second time, not defeated in the elections by the opposition.

Both Adesina and Akala got their parties' second term tickets (that is, approval to contest again) but were defeated by the opposition. That approval to recontest is what Ambode just lost.

Baba is making serious effort to consolidate the south west before election. As he is not sure of what APC will do to him if they succeeded in putting buhari in abuja again.

Ambode can't destroy his the most important strong hold.
