Speaking shortly after Atiku’s victory in a chat with Daily Independent, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport, said the Wazirin Adamawa, as Atiku is popularly called, would defeat President Buhari hands down in the 2019 presidential election.

Babatope, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), said the ruling APC was already jittery since Atiku’s emergence as PDP presidential flag bearer.
“Atiku will beat President Buhari hands down. I know Atiku very well. He is a fighter who gives his all to anything he believes in. The APC are jittery right now. There is no doubt in my mind that Atiku will defeat President Buhari easily,” he said.
