I was in a restaurant back in 2016 when the Biafra cries was still at a higher decibel. I told those who cared to listen that all those cries was politically inclined. It was as a result of a certain tribe's hatred towards the elected president. Only a man corroborated my stance while the rest thought like an average Nigerian. We are all , in one way or the other, contributory to our woes as a nation. You will agree that no sensible vis a vis wealthy man from that axis supported that agitation. They knew its all a farce that will die sooner or later. This thread isn't to castigate a certain interest but to tell you all that, there's no marginalized tribe, we only have marginalized Nigerians. The wealthy /political class see themselves as a side of the coin of Nigeria's national life while the talakawas/masses fall to the other side of the coin. This country is going nowhere if we continue in this trend. The earlier we all realize that the wellbeing of this country is a joint effort, the better for us all. I don't think a Nigerian who witnessed obj/atiku presidency will still come out to vote for someone like atiku. Buhari might be bad and faulty as a human but I'm telling you he's fairer than this man called atiku. Both of them are not anywhere near being a good leader but a sensible and just mind will choose Buhari ahead of atiku. Don't destroy Nigeria with sentiments because whether you like it or not, it will fall back on you. What's normal all over the world is abnormal here like stable power, rational thinking, good leadership and followership, fair justice, hope for the masses, dignity of labor etc. God bless Nigeria and long live nairaland.
