The reason is simple.

Lagos is a metropolitan state in which every ethnic nationality is found.

From 1999 to 2015, the vote of the yorubas and that of other residents in lagos always go in opposite direction.

In 2019, while the Yorubas will vote APC, others residents will vote PDP. The region that will decide the winner is the middle belt.

That's why the SW is still the most detribalized region in Nigeria. Even when a Muslim was presidential candidate and a pastor the vice, the votes were split more evenly that. any other region.

That is a dumb statement. They gave Falae blcok votes in 1999 and Obasanjo in 2003. These are in recent times, not including Abiola in 1993.

Wait until we field a Yoruba in 2023. If the Pdp fields candidates without a Yoruba blood (like ojukwu put it in 1993 when asked why he suppoted Tofa against abiola- He said the ticket had igbo blood), we would vote our son en block.

SW doesn't give block vote because some vote for APC and PDP respectively
Even middle belt doesn't give block vote.

Even middle belt doesn't give block vote.

Check 1999 and 2003 election results in SW.
