This is exactly what is wrong with Nigeria. Reading comments by some people on this forum and on this topic makes you really understand what a F**ked place this country is. The lady who ordered the phone from UK has every right to buy her phone from anywhere she wanted as long as she can afford it. That she chose to buy her phone outside of the country does not give anyone the right to steal or hold it for ransom. We wonder why the country is in such a mess and getting worse every day because of the pervasive corruption in the country. The sad part to this whole thing is that you have some knuckle headed dimwits opining and in support of bad behavior. Lest we forget, no country exists in abstract or a vacuum and so is Nigeria. The country is in a serious trouble if this is the mindset of the citizens-to blame an innocent buyer who had done nothing wrong but ordered what in most countries would have arrived without an issue. These same numbskulls casting aspersions on her would be the same idiots complaining that Nigeria is a shit-hole country...I wonder why! It goes without saying: "Most people are searching for the country's success outside of themselves. That's a fundamental mistake. Success is something you are, and it comes from the way Nigerians think and act." So, if Nigerians want the country to succeed, Nigerians have to look in the mirror for a start; change their thought process and their actions.

ranting on IG won't solve her problem. what she needs to do is to call DHL customer care. if she is half-smart she should have all the details of the transaction handy. If that doesnt yield timely results, VISIT the Nahco office in Lag and raze hell OR send a nasty email to DHL copying as many bosses' emails she can find online, esp the foreign head and the country manager etc..that way some dimwits can lose their jobs. Their emails are available online. I know this cos i was already prepared for a showdown during my first import using DHL based on what I read online about them. The email was typed and ready, but fortunately it went seamlessly.

If she lets it slide, then things like this will continue. It may be an error during re-packaging after customs search, or it may have been deliberate
