The Nigerian National football team has been playing their matches at the 20,000 capacity Uyo stadium.
The Stadium in Abuja cost over $360 million for construction and has a capacity of over 60,000 but it has not hosted any football game for a long time, it then begs the question - what happened to the Abuja National Stadium.

Nigeria has never been big on maintainance culture, the stadium that should be our Super Eagles default stadium is rather used for religious all nights, private sporting events, FRSC screening ground..
That stadium is Just an epitome of what the Republic of Nigeria is from 1960 -2018.
