The British High Commission to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright has backed the travel ban placed on 50 high profile Nigerians by the President Muhammdu Buhari administration.

Recall that thirteen former governors and seven ex-ministers have been barred from travelling out of the country, under Executive Order 6 (EO6) issued by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The restriction followed the judicial affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of the Executive Order 6 (EO6).

The watchlist and restriction were put in place pending the conclusion of corruption cases against those affected.

Arkwright, however, said that Buhari’s EO6 was important for the fight against corruption and rooting it out where it’s happening.

“I’ve heard that this is an anti-corruption measure. It’s not for me to say who should or should not be on the list,” Arkwright told Channels TV on Monday.

“But what I would say is that it’s very important in continuing this fight against corruption and rooting out corruption where it is happening.”

Foreign countries loves Buhari Anti corruption stands.
Foreign countries monitor corrupt money leaving Nigeria.

They support Buhari because they can see the drastic decline in offshore accounts controlled by politicians.
For foreign countries, they don't differentiate corrupt Nigerians on the basis of APC/PDP.
For them, corrupt Nigerians are being prosecuted. That is perfect for them.

While Nigerians are saying Buhari corruption fight is not working, the most developed countries in the world that actually monitor the flow of corrupt funds are all saying Buhari is doing a good job on Corruption. US President Donald Trump acknowledged it. Former US Ambassador to Nigeria aknowledge it. Former UK prime minister Cameron acknowledged it. What more evidence do we need to believe that the anti corruption of Buhari is working. Though it is slow with some perceived selectivity, but it is moving forward.

Or are we saying except corruption is reduced to zero completely that is only when we will agree Buhari is working? That is too much expectation to expect even in 20years for a country like Nigeria with structural corruption according to former US ambassador to Nigeria !!!

Buhari have some areas he is underperforming. But the most stupid and foolish thing Nigerians can do is to elect Atiku, a known kleptomania and crook to the office of the president. It is like an open invitation of Arm robbers to your safe.

I keep hearing Atiku is a business man.
Which business did atiku do that have helped Nigeria manufacturing, which is the fundamental problem of Nigeria?

Atiku businesses are mostly rent seeking easy businesses which take advantage of closeness to power to enrich himself!

People keep saying how Atiku owns Intels. Atiku does not own Intels. Intels belong to an Italian business man. Atiku only used his political influence to own shares in Intels for his political cover for intels abuse of Nigeria system.

Some argue Buhari has no company or business. Obama has no company. Theresa May prime minister of UK has no company. Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton has no businesses. Etc. Actually most leaders of advanced countries are public servants who never own a private business. President Donald Trump is among few excemptions

Others argue the anti corruption is selective. It is true it is relatively selective. Buhari has no choice than to be selective. The whole political class in Nigeria are corrupts. Can he fight them all at once? Who then will he work with? How will he be able to govern fighting all the powerful political class at once? It is only a matter of native wisdom to chose your battle. Work with some and prosecute some. That is the only way you can fight corruption in Nigeria which is endemic.

United State of America apply the same selectivity in thier corruption fight. They give some corrupt people immunity in other to get evidence on others who are corrupt. As we can see in the case of Paul Manofort and Rick gates.

Nigeria is not like britain, it is too much power for a President, it would muscle all forms of opposition for the nation both now and the future.

To the guy above:

Please mention just one company Buhari owns... or one income tax generated from anybody he has employed.

Is contesting for presidency a job or a career?

A man who has same number of cows year in year out cant even be called a herdsman, talk more of president.

“But what I would say is that it’s very important in continuing this fight against corruption and rooting out corruption where it is happening.

This is the position that all reasonable people worldwide would take on the travel ban. Sadly, enemies of Nigeria who are supporting a well documented rogue and his bigot sidekick to take over the presidency of the country are wailing against this great decision. The good news however is that the lovers of corruption are in the minority. Majority of Nigerians who are reasonable are in support of the travel ban on corrupt political elites who have looted our common patrimony. They should remain in Nigeria till their cases are decided by the court.

It's the norm all of over the world for every diplomat to support every policy of its host govt. So this is what's expected of him. The day Buhari loses and atiku begins the reversal of some of these unproductive and useless policies, the same guy will support the govt reversal of the policies

What a beautiful submission from a man who think differently!

Some people are hell bent on spewing out rubbish and throwing tantrums against President Buhari's fight on corruption. This is the truth coming out of a white man who's apolitical and knows his onion well. The fight might not be total, but we are gradually getting there, we will soon reach those you think we abhorring! The fight will be total.

Listen well you wailers, if your family member is on the 50-man list or you've relatives among them, kindly tell them to go to court and clear their names. Don't disturb us with noise about witchhunt. I have a relative among them who's a member of APC and a gubernatorial candidate from Kwara (Dele Belgore). Let him go and defend himself and more so he is a SAN. Otherwise keep your stinking dirty mouth shut and face your family problems. We will get there!

Corruption fight is for ALL!

May Buhari succeed and may God keep him healthier and lively.

2019 Oh Lord, I pray you hear me Lord; Buhari Must Win (BMW).....

God bless Baba Buhari and Nigerians!

Anyday Africans stay off whitemen shadow is the day real development will begin, we give them too much in our country affairs and yet no any improvements. Have never seen any Whitman country allowing black to dedicate for them. We see them as demi god yet we don't value our people we believe in them too much. Wake up Africans.

We know their plans...To subjugate the black man eternally...

As far they are concerned, Buhari can rule for ever as long it serves their neo-colonialism interest.

This time around the black man will rise up to break the burden/yoke placed by these dangerous elements....
