Lies cool
That is the truth. Channels TV has changed. They are not what I use to know them. You don't expect John Momoh to broadcast what will not suit this government. Abi non be BON president?. Tvc is owned by Tinubu hence it is synonymous with APC.AIT is ruled out because their boss is a PDP person

I would love to watch that program. When do channels air theirs?
i don't think channels tv do that. but Ait alqays do that every morning on kaakaaki morning show. just stick to your tv by 8 am in the morning. the anchor of kaakaaki socials is only showcasing what is trending on social media platform.

AIT have less viewers now as a result of their biased broadcast. Mean while, the TVC have 5 times more viewers than AIT.
lol who told you that. Ait has much viewers if you don't know. it ia tvc and nta that the viewers hate most. they are biased in their reporting. it is even obvious that they are promoting failed Apc party.

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has warned Africa Independent Television (AIT) to be careful in its usage of “user-generated content from the social media” on Kakaaki Social, a recent introduction to the early-morning show that extracts social-media comments on current political developments.

The warning was contained in a letter obtained by SaharaReporters and dated October 15, from Francisca Aiyetan on behalf of NBC’s Director of Broadcast Monitoring to the Managing Director of DAAR Communications Plc, titled ‘Social Media Segment of KAKAAKI: Need For caution’.

“It has come to the notice of the National Broadcasting Commission that a new segment was recently introduced In your flagship programme, Kakaaki, which makes use of user generated content from the social media,” read the letter.

“While this may be permissible, we advise you to ensure the utmost professionalism is employed in order to maintain editorial responsibility as indicated in our earlier letter dated 21st June, 2018 on the use of trending issues on social media.

“For the avoidance of doubt please note the following section of Nigeria broadcasting code; section 5.6.3 and 5.6.4

“Section 5.6.3: Broadcast shall take responsibility for all user generated content used on their medium

“Section 5.6.4: Material from user generated source shall meet all provision of the code.

“Please ensure compliance to avoid sanction.”

Since premiering on AIT Kakaaki on August 7, Kakaaki Social has gained widespread acclaim, numerous viewers praising both the station and its presenter, Ohimai Godwin Amaize, for providing a refreshing platform for the amplifying of social-media voices.

Funny the way some people are saying AIT is an arm of PDP. Nigerians and their myopic sense, you have suddenly forgotten the aggressive way they criticized GEJ government in 2014/2015. They are private station, they have to do whatever they can to put themself in limelight and supporting sitting government will not. They will always criticize sitting government, BUT THEY SHOULD DO IT THE RIGHT WAY

Oga softly abeg, so don forget how much PDP under GEJ paid Raymond Dokpesi (owner of AIT) to run a biased damaging documentary against Buhari; why do you think Mr. Dokpesi is being prosecuted by EFCC for money laundering among others for the money he collected from Dasuki-gate?
AIT had always been openly pro PDP (don't forget the said Dokpesi recently contested for the party chairmanship) and anti Buhari/APC - any intelligent observer would tell you that.

@TOPIC

The warning is quite timely and apt; AIT is simply being reminded of the existing rules which makes it liable and responsible for any social media generated content it airs e.g fake or misleading news - in this way AIT would not have any reason to complain of witch hunting should it later fall foul of these rules and it is consequently sanctioned.

AIT is an arm of PDP, I can't waste my time to watch that biased station.

Think its a matter of choice, just like TVC is a mouth organ and mouth piece of the APC led Government. Babajide comes on air to parrot a biased opinion yet NBC never sees that only the social media which is basically a feed back of happenings on the social media. Must we all sleep and PRAISE the LIFELESS PRESIDENT. Cant somebody have a contrary View On Issues ?

Was it not AIT that air that Documentary against buhari during that 2015 election.useless station.APC tried self.if they had wanted to do what PDP dd to them back in 2015 campaign using the media at their disposal. PDP will be dead by now
Re: AIT Kakaaki Social: NBC Threatens To Sanction TV Station by Mtmike(m): 6:33pm On Oct 21, 2018
I know Dokpesi was said to be involved in Dasuki-gate and I also know he claimed it was money paid to the company for campaign advert, what later happened to Dokpesi and his dasuki-gate I don't know. But I use to watch kakaki very well that time because I WAS passionate for change, so I love the criticism of the then govt on kakaki every morning. So I know very well that AIT always criticize sitting govt, am not sure if its politically motivated but am sure its good for their business.
