The Nigerian National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has clearly warned all corps members nationwide against campaigning for any political part or candidate.

This warning came as a result of the widespread of false text messages from NYSC encouraging corp members to support their parties and candidates.

This body has released a statement which was published on it’s official website saying that it’s scheme is apolitical and doesn’t declare support for any political party or candidate during an election.

This Important Notice has also stated how ready and willing they are to partner with all stakeholders in the nation to ensure a free and fair election.

“All NYSC corp members are therefore advised to avoid all text messages campaigning for political parties and candidates during elections”.

The NYSC scheme remains unbiased and apolitical to all candidates and contestants during elections and is determined to support the democratic process of the nation.

With it’s laudable and tremendous achievements being recorded in the past,the NYSC body will ensure credible, free and fair democratic election in the country.

All corp members are hereby reminded of the Director-General’s advice to remain neutral in their responsibility as INEC ad-hoc staff in the process of the 2019 General Elections.’
