‘it’s Impossible To Revise History’ — Atiku Campaign Replies Osinbajo by Maxymilliano(m): 5:08pm On Oct 28, 2018
The Atiku campaign organisation has accused Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) of trying to revise history over the role Atiku Abubakar played in the actualising of restructuring.

Osinbajo had said the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opposed the restructuring of the country when he was vice-president.

Reacting, the Atiku campaign organisation released a statement which read: “Given that restructuring has become the major issue in the 2019 elections and given that Prof Osinbajo and his boss have been speaking discordant tunes on restructuring, we can understand their desperation to revise history, however, it is impossible to revise documented history.

“Professor Osinbajo needs to be reminded that there are well documented accounts in the Nigerian media chronicling Atiku Abubakar’s support and struggle for restructuring.

To set the records straight, we recommend to Professor Osinbajo the article ‘Nigeria: 6-1 Onshore-Offshore Jurisdiction Verdict’ written by Jide Ajani, then the Political Editor of Vanguard Newspapers and published on July 13, 2001.

“In that piece, which is still available online, Vanguard Newspapers chronicled the successful efforts of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, to restructure the revenue allocation formulae to allow littoral states of the federation benefit from off shore oil proceeds. Ironically, it was precisely Mr. Osinbajo’s boss, Muhammadu Buhari, who as military dictator, cheated these states of their just due by military fiat.

“It is also common knowledge that the six geopolitical zones structure which all parts of Nigeria benefit from today is the fruit of the collaborative efforts of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, the late Alex Ekwueme and other patriots.

“Their efforts at restructuring Nigeria are captured in the Hansard of the 1995 Constitutional Conference, which is a public document and is still available at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Professor Osinbajo may want to familiarise himself with that document.

The question we want to ask Professor Osinbajo is this – why do he and his boss constantly resort to rewriting history? Why can they not campaign on their achievements? Is it that they are forced to campaign on subterfuge because they have no achievements to campaign on?

“President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo promised to make N1 equal to $1. They vowed to create three million jobs per annum. They promised to pay the unemployed a “job seekers allowance”. They said subsidy was a scam. They also said that they would defeat Boko Haram
.

“Nigerians want to know if these promises have been kept. They are not interested in fairy tales about how Atiku Abubakar did not support restructuring because they know that he is and was and will always be an active promoter of restructuring.”

Good. Atiku has the most atikulated roadmap to restructuring of the country among all the contestants. What Buhari understands to be restructuring is using oil money from the South to build cattle colonies for cows from the North. How can Nigeria survive an extra day of Buhari's misrule after May 29, 2019?

Osibanjo has joined Fashola the criminal that used billions of naira on one borehole and Festus Otobo in a campaign of calumny.
The three claims to be SANS but they're useless to humans.

Very simple questions. Buhari and Osinbajo, have you kept your promises:

1. Creating 2 Million Jobs yearly
2. Eliminating the petrol subsidy which was apparently a scam before you got elected
3. Solve Electricity problem within 6months in office (according to Fashola himself)
4. Eliminated corruption and jailed corrupt politicians and Certificate forgers (Including Tinubu, Amaechi, Oshiomhole, Kemi Adeosun etc)
5. Eliminated State of origin in place of state of residence (according to Buhari’s fake campaign mandate since 2003)
6. Jailed Buhari for lying under oath twice about his WAEC certificate

Buhari and Osinbajo, have you fulfilled these promises to the good people of Nigeria?

grin grin grin

Atiku is playing more matured here by not replying personally but by doing so through a campaign group. Pls I just like osibanjo. I don't want him doing the work of lai Mohammed or Lauretta he is above propaganda abeg he should just enjoy being v. P and bring some significant input without messing himself up. That's only if BuBu would listen to advice set from Osibaba

I'm really disappointed in Osibanjo.
He doesn't care about the killings going on in the country.

He only cares about being VP.
He wants to continue representing Christians, when he can't speak up on our behalf.

If he doesn't reply, who would? The only language this APC government understands is "fire for fire;" and that's why they have met their match in Atiku.

PDP choice of Atiku is a good option...

But then the only thing I can still see with APC is the power of incubency...

How do PDP plan to deal with that?

I pray things work out fine for Nigeria.

It’s a shame that a government that could not keep even one campaign promise could mutter the guts for a second term.

Shame on Nigerians if Buhari emerges president again by 2019. By all means, he has to go

As expected, you never disappoint with this shameless and childish image you keep uploading daily.

You and your buharist are suppose to spread the good work of your paymaster since he came to power, but you dont have any to showcase to the masses.

The suffering in the land keeps skyrocketing daily, humans being killed like chickens daily, citizens keep losing their jobs daily, nothing is working.

I don't know that it now takes a degree in Rocket Science and Astro-Physics for this administration to reel out their achievement and even sell their candidate..

All they have been doing is maligning the personality of Atiku..

As if that will stop us from Atikulating.

Anyway, they're making the dude more popular sha .

the only revisionist is Atiku and his sheeples. the rebuttal given here is not concrete enough, and the question still lingers; why did Atiku not support the restructuring of Nigeria when he was the vice president? the only 'restructuring' Atiku endorsed was his tacit support to the implementation of sharia law across the nineteen northern state in 2002
