What happened was that Move On Nigeria went to Ghana to ask for a record that is in Nigeria. Was the exam done in Ghana? And for the avoidance of doubt, only the candidate and a court of competent jurisdiction can ask the Council for any certificate/result.

The said attestation certificate was presented to PMB by no other person than the Registrar of WAEC Dr. Iyi Uwadiae who led a team from both WAEC headquarters in Ghana and the National office in Nigeria to Aso Rock to make the presentation.

A Nigerian avoided the WAEC National office in Nigeria under the PDP regime that was against Buhari, and rather approached the WAEC National office in Ghana.

Why does a Nigerian need a redirection to the National office in Nigeria that he knows exist and deliberately avoided, knowing fully well that Katsina is not in Ghana?

One of my friends obtained his WAEC certificate from London, he didn’t need to apply to WAEC Nigeria to issue his certificate.

So yes, as the HQ, WAEC Ghana would have the records of the applicant. In today’s world, this is called Cloud Computing. So many companies like Facebook, Google etc have Data centers outside the US so that if one fails, another serve.

Another simple example is a company like Sahara Reporters with HQ in New York, the same data accessed by its office in Nigeria is accessed by its office in NY etc, maybe their Data center is not even in NY.

Where are those ignoramuses who said the WAEC Ghana National office would have records that should be the property of the WAEC Nigeria National office?

Certificate saga: Only Buhari can request for result verification – WAEC

...WAEC Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Lagos, Mr. Yusuf Ari in a telephone conversation with Vanguard said, “No individual has the legal right to approach WAEC for the verification of another person’s result except the owner of the result.”

He explained that the constitutional right vested on the Freedom of Information law does not include invasion of privacy adding, “The certificate in question belongs to Muhammadu Buhari and he alone has the right to apply for verification.

“Be that as it may, WAEC cannot take any action except, the owner of the certificate asked us to do so. We are an independent body, therefore, we cannot be partisan on this issue,” he said.

According to Ari, all the former Head of State needs to do is to apply by given WAEC the name of his school, Examination number and year of the examination and the result will be verified.

Now before you ask why the verification exercise was not carried out in 2015, read my earlier response (below).

It was his prerogative to do this in his own time.
After all, an affidavit still carries weight in our country.

What is more, for all you and I know, Jonathan/Dasuki might have ensured he got the same short shrift treatment he got from the ARMY he onced served from WAEC also. Sure we can ruminate over the "ifs" and "hows" now, but let's never forget why his "missing certificate" became an issue in the first place - to stop him from contesting, out of fear!

When one has been cursed to wail aimlessly, there is no deliverance from such a powerful bondage.

Some are even still asking stupid questions about the passport picture as if they were expecting a 1961 picture of Buhari to be on a document issued this very week?

Some have started claiming the scores from his school statement of result obtained during the last election season, is different from what is on this issued attestation. Their miserable eyes of deceit has began to deceive them to see only what will make them happy.

The most ridiculous commentary I've seen is one that complained that this newly issued result attestation is on a coloured paper as opposed to black and white that existed in 1961. Whoever told them this newly issued attestation was printed in 1961 with Buhari's current picture?

I repeat for clarity, only a fool would expect that a recently issued document should mirror the template used decades ago, rather than mirror the template used as at the time of its reissue.


Did Buhari have those grades as contained in the school statement of result and the Cambridge result master sheet that was released during the last presidential campaign.

Did the result grades from the school and the master sheet tally with the result grades the military had publicly released as contained in their records, even though they could not find the certificate paper awarded for the said grades and claimed by Buhari to be with the military?

Did the exam and released result then in 1961, occur before his conscription into the Army, despite applying prior to sitting for the exam and for which the school principal gave a recommendation note for his consideration by the Army, who didn't go ahead to recruit before the exam and result were available?

Yes! Case closed!

Was it possible for Buhari to have provided this attestation when he swore to his affidavit and when this matter came up in 2014, when the new rule that allowed this attestation for the benefit of all affected Nigerians only came up late in 2015?

No! Case closed!

Should Buhari have defended himself in court with SANs when sued by jobless Nigerians who did not want to believe the loss of the certificate, and still did not want to accept the school result statement and even the raw record of the Cambridge result master sheet as evidence that Buhari certainly qualified to have an O'level certificate and must have actually had one issued to him in his student years, and also knowing a new certificate would not be reissued to him to please those who are determined that they will rather be miserable than pleased?

Yes! Case closed!
