My Diary Fan, thanks for reading my boring story. wink

The contact I used to buy the lappy is a Nairalander.

He has doing laptop sale offers when I was in the market for a new laptop.

1. You can search on Amazon for your preferred laptop, then contact temitimx.19 (Remove the dot, I don't want to tag him) to help you buy and ship it to Nigeria.

2. Contact mikky.angel (remove the dot) if he have any laptop deal currently running.

Hope that helps. cool

Apologies to the OP, for answering questions unrelated to Uber business on her thread. smiley

your diary is far from boring.

Ayam blushing ooooo. grin grin grin

Anyway thanks for reading and I am glad you learn a thing or two from it.

My laptop was bought on Amazon (I presumed, because it has Amazon card inside it when I open the carton).

I didn't place the order directly on Amazon, I placed order with mikky when he offer the lappy for sale on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4624110/8th-generation-intel-core-i3

And the laptop has been exceptional. It comes with a 12hrs battery life and using the right power saving settings, I usually get average of 10 hours on battery.

It's a 2018 build laptop with old specs. No fancy power (battery) draining tools like touchscreen etc.

If you want to buy, here is the name and spec

Acer E15 (E5-576-392H)
OS: Windows 10 Home
Processor: Intel Core i3 - 8130U
RAM: 6GB
Storage: 1TB

It also have an optional SSD drive. When the need arises, I can actually upgrade it's Storage capacity by buying and installing a SSD.

You're absolutely correct but my budget at that moment can't accommodate ThinkPad X (brand new).

So I researched for laptops within my budget.

As a matter of fact, during my research my focus was on RAM, Storage and Processor.

I want 1TB storage, minimum of 4GB RAM and Inter Core with little or no regards to battery life.

Would have bought an HP Pavilion because I actually booked an HP Pavilion but couldn't meet up with the balance when it land in Nigeria and the laptop was hot cake at the price I was quoted, so I had to go with the Acer.

This is my first Acer laptop (I had previously used Compaq and 2 Tosihbas, the last laptop that packed up before I bought the Acer is a Toshiba Satellite that serves me for more than 5 years without any repairs done except for battery change in its last year) and am enjoying it daily. Gradually with more money and demand for more battery power in the future, I would go for ThinkPad or kukuma migrate to Apple Mac. grin grin grin

i really dont like complicated stuff esp as i am not in lagos.
Lagos because getting parts or repairs are difficult elsewhere.

Imagine driving a rare car brand outside lagos.
How do you source for the parts.?

Lenovo used to be owned by IBM.

I have used one for several years.

I am not in Lagos.

I have replaced the adapter twice due to my carelessness

Nothing else has gone bad except the batteries which I intend to replace because the charge count has reached over 500 times and.I can no longer get 18 hours battery life.

These laptops are built to literally last forever.

They are military grade specification laptops

*Correction,*
Lenovo was never owned by IBM,
It bought over the IBM thinkpad franchise.
