Thanks for stopping by.

So today I decided to find out why my dog has a light yellowish tinge behind her legs and thighs region.
I went back to check her parents and discovered the mum was golden/brownish in color. So after giving her a thorough bathe today, I noticed that the yellowish tinge was still there and she is just over 4 months old.
Anyway I have come to the conclusion that the yellowish tinge is part of her color.
So this night my dog seriously rumped the teddy bear like she was having an orgasm it was so weird to watch.

Sometimes dogs change in fur, coat and colour... All what they need is proper grooming
BTW your dog looks well fed kudos

Today was a very long day for me and Beverly.
I got to the vet around after 12 in the afternoon, but he wasn't around, so I waited for him for over an hour. During my wait, my dog Beverly met with the vets dog Coco and dusty. Dusty was still very young and always ready to play, but he was a nuisance to my dog, she didn't want to play with a strange puppy. I was expecting her to be playful with the other dogs but she wasn't, but she was ok to other humans in the vet shop.
Even though we stayed there for more than 2 hours, she was never in the mood to make friends with the other dogs, she was just looking at them from afar only growling when dusty came closer for a play I separated them based on my knowledge on dogs, because I didn't want it to escalate into a fight. Coco didn't even move close, I was told he just crossed another bitch that morning. I noticed she was afraid from his body language, and was generally mellow and laid back like Beverly. Beverly didn't growl at him, she just watched him from afar.
I measured her weight there, she now weighs 10 pounds(4.5kg). Which is an ideal weight for her age (4months 20 days old).
At the end of the day she got her ARV vaccination, bco ivermectin and gentamicin injection plus booster tonic. She cried and had some reaction to the ivermectin for few hours.
Anyway she is back to being her mischievous self.

All these for a dog? Guy there are people out there on the streets dying of hunger and starvation... And you are spending thousands of naira on a dog.... There are even people who cant afford some injections to stay alive.... Think about it....

So this dog can be very funny. She refused to eat her food even after mashing boiled egg and hollandia milk to it.
So I remembered a technique I use to use to make her eat, I crunched cheese balls on it and she ate it all, even licked the plate clean
It was so funny, something as simple as cheese balls would drastically increase her appetite.

So what you are saying is, because there are millions of homeless people out there suffering, I should abandon my dog and refuse to give her a good life... So that would solve the world problems!
Wow you are making so much sense. Thanks for this intelligent suggestions.
Henceforth I won't feed my dog again, I will make her suffer because people are suffering out there. That way all the world problems would be solved. You should be the president of Nigeria

So he should not have a dog because people are hungry?
Does having a dog stop him from doing charity? Did you even think about that? Your thought is narrow minded.

So how is it his problem ?
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by Jackofall: 10:10am On Feb 15, 2019
So my dog decided not to eat this morning, despite adding everything she loves into her food. She didn't even come close to the food. I put her next to her food, yet she didn't eat it.
Although she ate the meaty bone I gave her. That's all, she didn't eat anything else.
She is not sick or anything, I took her to the vet just last week, she is playful as usual, she isn't just eating...
This is the first time this is ever happening, I don't know if its normal or should I be worried?
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by Jackofall: 9:12am On Feb 16, 2019
So yesterday I discovered that my dog was just testing me to see if I would give her a different food to eat. She didn't lose any appetite because she was collecting treats from everyone but didn't eat her own food.
I was able to confirm this when I threw the question into a lhasa apso group on Facebook and everyone who commented agreed that it's something lhasas do.
I just have to be very patient and firm with the dog, not to keep changing her food everytime she is playing games with me.
This morning I gave her her usual food and she gulped it down like she has never eaten for years.

Very lovely diary.. I'm so proud of how u devote more time to your pup.. She's lovely.. But have you tot about getting her a crate/Cage for the house? Dogs are den animals and she would very much appreciate a crate for herself.
My one penny though!

You’ll get annoyed with your Lhasa the way I am with mine now when you start seeing hairs all over everything , the couch, your car seat , clothes , socks? I can can’t how many clothes have been condemned by my Lhasa’s hair..
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by Jackofall: 8:48pm On Feb 18, 2019
Well I don't use any cage/crate for my dog, she is an emotional support dog and a companion to me.
I don't see the need to use one either. The day I tried to cage her, she didn't stay in one place, she was moving the basket with her nose and crying.
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by Jackofall: 8:48pm On Feb 18, 2019
How come my lhasa never sheds any hair?
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by Jackofall: 8:50pm On Feb 18, 2019
Anyway, my method has been working so far. I no longer give my dog table scraps, I also informed my family members not to give her table scraps with reasons.
Now she eats everytime I give her food.
Although I noticed she eats less now, perhaps because I don't exercise her as often as before, but I still play with her often.
Re: My lhasa apso Beverly is on heat. by fowlyansh181(m): 10:31pm On Feb 18, 2019
Jackofall:maybe still growing or it’s gene doesn’t shed, don’t really know, mine started around 6, 7months.. she doesn’t shed much or anything, just gradually is too hairy and tends to leave hairs on fabrics if she comes in contact with one
