See these guys already blaming Ambode saying he didn't finish Fasholas project, lol

Was it not the same Fashola that said the blue line would be completed in JUNE 2013?

I remember that thread and all the Tinubu dogs shouting Eko ni whatever

5 years later, still stories

Hmmm.....I wasn't the loan from the World Bank to ensure the completion of the project?...the question should be why is there now a paucity /lack of funds? Where is the money coming from to service the loan?....the World Bank takes no prisoners when it comes to being repaid. LagosIans are already repaying through the nose for a non existing service. Way to go.

The difference is that GEJ always mixed politics with development.
Fashola got the first $100m World Bank loan under Yaradua. GEJ came in and stopped Fashola from accessing subsequent tranches of the world bank loan meant to complete this project simply due to party differences.

Fashola had to terminate Julius Berger's contract and use little funds from Lagos' budget to build what he could using CCECC.

Buhari came in and Lagos was able to re-access the world bank loans under Ambode. So Ambo has no excuse whatsoever.

You see the difference?

By its completion date, it'll already be inadequate and far below what's needed to ease transport. Shocking how long it is taking...

Where's the cable cars and so promised in the past?
Lagos should have finished this and started drawing blueprints for a metro system.

Example is Indian's metro. Construction started in 2002, first phase completed by 2006. New stations constantly added too.
Lagos does not realise it is on its way to being the most populated city in the world. Politicians are just stealing and showing little concern for actual delivery.

Since 2009, they can't complete a single stretch of 2 lines. Instead it's taking 13 years! This should been completed in 2013 and more lines added already.

This should be enough to vote them out for incompetency!

Kwarruption ridden government. This is the same project that successive Lagos state governments has been using to obtain loan fraudulently at the expense of the taxpayers. They keep playing hanky-panky with the citizenry, causing emotional and physical stress on their daily livelihood. Let's be factual, lagos state with the amount of FDI and tax incomes it generates should boast of world class intermodal transportation system that should ease the flow of human and vehicular ltraffic. Bad system being strangled by a bourgeois Lord at Bourdillon.
let us all work together to chase this people out of lagos come 2019, it's not easy to take banana from monkey we must be resolute to put an end to this once and for all

The situation is just pathetic. When ranking bodies come out to say Lagos is one of the worst cities on earth, politicians start throwing tantrums.

for progress to come to Lagos tinubu monopoly of choosing governors for lagos must ene he is not God all knowing, his choices have not been perfect, the people must take back their power to choose by themselves and correct their mistakes as they go

With how Fasola made mouth about how the project will finish in three years, one will think by now no one will be talking about completing this project. All our politicians know how to do is make empty boasts and promises.
