**Raises hope that all ongoing road rehabilitation work will be commission**

The Senate has reinstated that the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari will commission all the road projects in Lagos before the expiration of his tenure and also execute more.

The senate committee chairman on works, Senator Kabiru Gaya stated this in Lagos with his committee who visited to carry out oversight functions on roads.


In a press statement signed by the spokesperson to senator Kabiru Gaya, Mr. Prince Idris Afegbua said some of the projects includes the rehabilitation of Lagos ring road bridge abutment approach ramp to the 3rd mainland bridge, rehabilitation of access road to A papa/Tin island Port- NNPC Deport (Atlas Cove). Rehabilitation of A papa Wharf road and others.

According to the statement, “Senate committee on works arrived Lagos State on it’s usual oversight functions the committee headed by the former governor of Kano State Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya fnia the Senate committee Chairman reinstated that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is sets to commission all the road projects in Lagos before the expiration of his tenure and execute more by God’s grace in is second term, some of the projects are rehabilitation of Lagos ring road bridge abutment and approach ramp to the 3rd mainland bridge, Rehabilitation of access road to Apapa/Tin can island Port-NNPC Depot (Atlas Cove).

“Rehabilitation of Apapa Wharf road Rehabilitation of the failed section Ijora Apapa flyover and approach road by leventis,; Apapa- Ijora via Duct.
Rehabilitation of the Ikorodu-Sagamu Road.

“Access roads to NNPC depot (mosimi) along Ikorodu ~sagamu road.
Rehabilitation, reconstruction and expansion works on Lagos-Ibadan dual carriageway section 1and so many more projects under constructions.

“The committee which comprises seasoned professionals cum politicians warns the contractors to deliver on time and job specifications should be adhere to.
