Last week I wrote a post on the best hotels to lounge in Lagos if you're on a tight budget but still want to get the most out of your money. I got some people ask me what of hotels in Abuja and I thought I'd do a post for that too.

1. Chelsea Hotel

They have two branches in Abuja, one at the Central area another at Wuse II. Both are excellent, with an indoor swimming pool, free breakfast service, and it even comes with a tennis court if you are interested in the sport. Prices start from N40,000 per night.

2. Top Rank Hotel

The hotel is only about 20 mintues away from the airport and 3km from the National Assembly building. Although it doesn't have a free wifi in all it's rooms, it does have a bar, gym and other amenities common to hotels these days. Prices per night start from N22,000

3. Residency Hotel

If you are looking for the most affordable yet, Residency Hotel is your best bet. It's not the most flashy hotel and it's even smaller than most. But it does have all the things we love about hotels: swimming pool, pool-side bar, restaurant, e.t.c. Prices per night start at N14,000
