I downloaded whatsapp for my PC, but the QR code won't show up for me to scan with my phone. Please how do I fix this

To perform this action you have to log out from whats app web. Than create a QR code and scan it. Log in to whats app web again. Your desktop app will start working again.

but I haven't used it on the PC before. Remember, it is the desktop app not a browser extension
