That's the nepotism he's talking about with the skewed system that favours the North. In developed countries, the top universities attract the highest funding but can you explain the rationale behind ABU getting more funded than the likes of UI and UNN when ABU is nowhere to be found in any of these global rankings.
Hahahaha...
Thanks....

Topic says UI being in top 400 and the evidence is clear enough for you to see in his post. He only mentioned UNN as being the only other Nigerian University ranked for Medical sciences and they are top 600, which is what you quoted.

In Nigeria the north see every other region as superior, they mask that feeling with Islamic doctrines and then they try to catch up by all means possible.
It explains their lack of shame and attitude towards ABU funding.

Apparently, UCH stands out amongst others. UCH is the research hub for medicine in Nigeria and is being funded specially by the government. It's good to know yet again that we have schools that can compete favourable with others around the globe.

Compete Moor, competitor nii

This is great from UI.

UNN isn't doing bad either.

I subscribe to your suggestion for the govt to have a special grants for these universities and make them our flagship universities or Ivy Leagues.

Truth be told,UI,UNN and CU are really making us proud.FG should sponsor UI and UNN.
UI:The first University
UNN: First indigenous University.
These two Universities are trying Simple.

Funding should be according to how productive a University is not what we have in Nigeria.
But No,FG will never do it.

We spend more on the Nass than on our prestigious universities— something has to give.

We just can continue to tolerate this
