If you did a proper research on these companies you would find out they are way better than they used to be in private hands and those that could not stand shows they were only financial burden to the govt.

We disagree with shehu, NNPC should be unbundled and listed in the NSE in sectors with FG having 50% shares on its decision making policies..

It is just a cashcow to every serving govt..

Thank you for your comments. Many are just myopic and simply play to gallery on whose side they belong.

Atiku is genetically engineered to steal. He cannot just help himself. Such persons cannot hide their evil intentions, natures way of safeguarding the society of sane persons.

The one who want to steal will not make their position known from the onset even at the risk of something as controversial as privatization of NNPC which may mar his chances of being voted in.

You must develop a model that will make it profitable, competitive as its peers around the world which of course the white paper and the Bill he has refused to accent to is meant to do.

I would rather believe someone who tells me ahead what to expect than someone, who surreptitiously steals from the organization, turns this organization to his private vault with money(s) missing daily and dipping his hand at will to spend on his re-election campaign.

The news is awash with stories of underhand practices under his Ministry, I think he doubles as the Minister of Petroleum for the Last 3 years.

Yearly, he does not stand before the senate to defend his budgets for the ministry.
Yearly, he does not give a sustainable plan or growth projection of our national reserves which has been dwindling, when it is in fact data support the fact that we our geologic system should hold five times the current oil reserve and more than 6 times the gas reserves.

Year on, year end we are not progressing with any investment when his statue has the president and Minister should otherwise draw more investment in this ministry.

Mark you, NNPC was established ahead the likes of ADNOC, which has since its establishment quadruple its production and now aiming for 4,000,000 BBl per day in 2020.
Toppling Nigeria soonest as the sixth biggest producer in the world.

The peers of NNPC are PETRONAS and PETROBRAS, these companies are so much competitive that it is hardly fumbling or defaulting at PSC,JV funding and constantly seeking new investment opportunities.

It will interest you to know that, their national oil company is vying for prospecting licenses even in our dear country, Nigeria due to the benefit of competition both as a company and as per human resources where the best in the world is employed to deliver the company's target for the shareholders for which the respective countries are major stakeholders.

My brother let me stop here, it goes without saying that sentiment is what has kept us with such monumental failure as NNPC even though it is capable of being literally a giant with finger print in all facets of Nigeria Life.

The resources available to her, would have benefitted her so much more and put her in such a competitive edge in the West African markets that, NPDC ( the E&P arm of NNPC-something akin to Shell, Chevron, PETROBRAS/NAS ETC) would have been operating in not less than half the African countries earning us massive reputation, foreign direct investment and strengthening our currency whilst shoring up our foreign reserves.

Again who am I, a nobody with common sense.

Let #NNPCWorkAgain.
