After a successful track laying and test run in two states, Oyo and the Ogun States respectively, the Lagos-Ibadan Railway is finally making its way into Lagos. As seen in the pictures available to AutoReportNG, workers were seen doing site clearance for Agbado Station and Ijoko Station in preparation for the railway track.

So far, by the end of October, 51% of excavation, 80% of filling works, 100% of bridge foundation, 67% of abutment and 70% of bridge piers have been completed. For records also, the beam laying for Onigbongbo Bridge was completed on 3 November 2018.

These are some pictures from the site...

Progress. Nigeria must develop

When elections come (just like Saturday's bye-elections with APC 3 vs PDP 0) and the masses choose Govt of Infrastructure over Share the money party, do not wail so much.
Go and ask Kwarans how Ilorin-Jebba road was killing them throughout PDP's wasted years of looting.
Nigerian electorates are now wise. They know who's working hard for them and who has their interest at heart.
Those who prefer looting era can relocate to Afghanistan.

PDP need to spend some time repenting and learning from their past undoings. It is still too early to return PDP to power.

They want us to abandon this laudable project for a position of SGF that would be given to one Omo-Ale from Shagamu (Gbenga Daniel) Who stoke all he could set his frog eyes on when he was the State Governor between 2003-2011...

Abubakar Sani-Bello, others beg Muhammadu Buhari to fix federal roads in Niger State

“Niger State is having a lot of problems with regards to security along our major roads. This include Jebba-Mokwa-Tegina-Birni Gwari road up to Kaduna. Trailers and tankers have abandoned that road because of lack of security. Most of these vehicles now pass through Mokwa-Bida-Minna road to Abuja or to Kaduna

We need reconstruction of these roads with additional security so that tanker drivers and other heavy duty trucks can go back to that road to continue their business.”

Take it easy, dont let them fool you with images. The project is still at its very early stage. Don't allow anyone raise your hope unnecessarily.

At least wait till you ride on it before you dance or curse.

Have you seen the project they handed over to Buhari to complete - Lagos-Ibadan expressway?

They are still struggling with it more than 3 years later, with the completion date now in 2021 (all things being equal).

From my comment you should get it that I am from Ogun State.... My Mother’s house is at Agbada Crossing which is the Biundary between Lagos and Ogun.... And I am telling you that Work has been going on from Agbado Station for over a Year... New rails has been set and new Staff Quaters were constructed.... Massive work is going on from Ijoko Station to Iju... Nobody from that area will ever pray that such a laudable project should be abandon... And they’ve made up their mind to vote the Government that is giving the area a facelift... I remember Gbenga Daniel telling People from that area that they didn’t vote for him, they should go and meet SIA in 2010 when they complained of bad roads

It's not anti-corruption again?

His legacy is now rail projects not integrity again?

The Nigeria railway masterplan has been conceptualized and designed long before Buhari became president. It is a 25 year masterplan that got stalled briefly during late President Yaradua's tenure but quickly revived during Jonathan's presidency.

Buhari does not have that kind of singlemindedness to get any project started. With or without Buhari, the implementation of the railway masterplan is on course.

It's Lagos-Ibadan railway. There's still a long way to go from where you are.

You don't necessarily pray that the project gets abandoned but try and temper your optimism with caution till it's done and you ride in it.

After using these pictures to win elections and riding on your bitterness towards Daniel anything can happen.

The Lagos-Ibadan expressway should have been completed by now but they are still there.

Lagos metroline project is not abandoned but not completed.

Governments come and go.

BTW how far with the "massive construction" going on along Sagamu-Ikorodu road?

I hope you saw the news and video where Saraki said they cut the Lag/Ibd road project by 30 billion in the 2018 budget, How do you expect the Executive to finish it? East/West road which is less than 1,000 Km has been on for over 10 years and no tangible progress has been made... Lag/Ibd express was flagged off in 2014 and we all know the politics that was going on.... Like I said My Area we are voting for a government that remember us and now things are changing in the area for even those selling sachet water are making more sales due to the construction going on.... Let the regions that benefited from PDP vote for them, and at the end of the day the Majority will have their way and the Minoritt have their Say... Beauty of Democracy...It’s as simple as that

When many on this forum criticized the government for sharing $320 million as agreed with Swiss government and then same week obtaining a loan of $300 million from China for telecom infrastructure.

When we or other African country get aid fund from USA or EU, does it mean they have become debt free or they don't collect loans anymore? The way some people reason is wack.
