Actually I was talking to my mother the other day and the topic of gender roles came up. She's a strong Christian.

She mentioned that in the Bible it says that the woman's curse (when they get kicked out of the garden of eden) is to lust after the power men have, but that men will always rule over them.

Where in the bible does it say that men are superior to women? The bible says that the husband is over the wife (which means to provide for her and to love her) the bible doesn't tell the woman that the man is superior to her or to bow down to hin, it only tells her to respect him (her husband).

Jesus did not come to abolish the old testament, he came to give us the basic everlasting principles by which we could always understand it in the light of the times and seasons.
lt would do Christians a lot of good to accept that the bible though inspired by God, is still man made.
For men only see in part and prophesy in part. ( l Corinthians 13).
