I really dont know if this is the right place to post this. A boat mishap occurred yesterday 19/ 11/2018 at Bonny island,Rivers state .We lost 3souls .The life jacket you see the girl putting on is old and in a sorry state. cant keep you afloat.

The multinationals have neglected us.they care only about their staff.The local government care less .not even a press statement after this incident .The local boats are in a bad state.If its not sea pirates today ,it will be boat mishap tomorrow .

But i belkeve there are things which can be done to save lives because life is precious and cannot be bought.


A system of journey management plan have to be imposed on the Bonny boat union to have sefety rules which is to guide them in every journey,which is to ensure the safety of travelers on our water ways,these rules will dictate a specific route they are to follow,radio communication from base in specified time to identify how far the travelers have gone in the journey and incase of an emmergency can be easily located by a standby rescue and medical team.


If they operate with a journey management plan system,delay of journey due to bad weather conditions would have been complied with if it was a set regulation.
Also,boat engines are to be inspected before given permit for a journey.

Furthermore,a tutor is to be present before every departure to demonstrate the proper use of a life vest for travellers to be conversant with it,it is important that we have a well trained and equiped rescue team because,saving lives is better than taking one.

Now PEOPLE will realise that the cost of doing BURIAL is more than that of LIFE JACKET.
......the worst is that People will still storm their burials demanding for cold drinks and fleshy meat.
So pathetic.... Not a good way to die at all..

PLEASE..!! Safety measures should be enforced at every station with healthy looking life jackets..
What will it cost, Abeg.....??
I don't think it will cost more than a burial.
