We can understand the irony and the undertone
here. These are the genuine Muslims. The fact is
that it is we Christians that have been ignorant of
what really faithful Muslims are supposed to be,
and we should be really sorry for such ignorance. It
has become a tradition for most leaders in Africa
and in many parts of the world during Muslim
festival periods to send messages to Muslims to
follow the example of the prophethe ohammed and
obey Allah, and then have religious tolerance.
Either these leaders are yet to know what Islam is,
or they are just trying to say something to make
news during every Sallah period. It is utterly
impossible to follow Mohammed's example in the
Hadiths and obey his Allah in the Quran and then be
peaceful, tolerant and submissive to a government
that is not entirely Islamic.
Even in a country like Egypt where all the key
leaders are Muslims, there will still be unrest
among Muslims until a pure Islamic government is
established and imposed on all other people in the land. #Copied

The only place any Muslim can confidently point to in the Quran is Surah 2:256
which says in part, "Let there be no compulsion in
religion". But we all know this statement was made
at the early stage of Mohammed's mission, when he
was just settling down in Yathrib (Medina). Such an
attitude was necessary in order to get the
co-operation of the Jewish tribes and Christians who
were in the majority in Yathrib. Mohammed said he
believed in all the Jewish prophets, and that he had
not brought any new religion but the very things that
the old prophets of Israel had preached. At that time,
he did not have enough people to wage any war.
When, however, he had raised enough military
manpower, he began to launch out against those he
suspected did not believe in his religion. Speaking as
an oracle of Allah, Mohammed commanded that all
those who opposed his message be killed or they
should be nailed on a tree or their hands and legs be
cut off, or they be driven out of the land. (Surah 5.36).
In Surah 47:4, Muslims are commanded by Allah
to smite the necks of those who do not accept the
teachings of Islam until they pay a huge ransom,
and according to the verses, they would be helping
Allah by so doing. Others could be arrested and
released only after paying a huge ransom. Surah
2:190-191, Surah 9:19-22, 29, 41 and several others,
command true Muslims to fight those who oppose
them or do not believe in the message of Islam: "so
when you meet the unbeliever (in fight), smite at
their necks till you have killed and wounded many of
them; then bind a bond (on them)... " (Surah 47:4, A1
Hilali et al.)
It is important to stress again that much of our
discussion on Islam is not from Western historians
but from the Quran and Islamic traditions called
the Hadith and from present experiences in many
parts of the world.

The funny thing is this Bidah gets recognised as a holiday.
Allah perfected the religion before the death of the Prophet. I think this should be a campaign point by organizations like Muric and SCIA. It's not always about been even with the Christians in terms of rights to perform our religion. They should also champion courses like this that are outright innovations. Na all these things dey lead to segregation. People add anything to the religion as they see fit it has to stop. There is only one true path to God and it has been outlined in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Religious wise, and even morally, you have a point. But the kingdom of God is not in religion or morality. It's spiritual! And no amount of logical reasonings or teaching can make a carnal mind, unsaved soul understand the things of the Kingdom. For spiritual things are spiritually discerned.
