i suggest the NPF hands them over to the military
for drilling and return them back for further prosecution.

THE COMMAND'S RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS

1. ARREST OF A GANG OF ARMED ROBBERS AND RECOVERY OF FIREARMS: The Benue State Police Command  wishes to report that, a gang of armed robbers including a female, terrorising motorist/commuters along Vandeikya-Adikpo road were on 14/11/2018 arrested by men of Operation Zenda at about 1100hrs following a tip off.

   The arrested gang members include:
i. Mnguember Apuu F 22yrs (Armourer)
ii. Anger Kunav M 20yrs
iii. Iorungwa Hywakaa M 22yrs
iv. Fanen Yev M 25yrs and
v. Igbadoo Sule 'M' 24yrs (Gang Leader)

Exhibits recovered from them include
i. Two Locally Fabricated Guns
ii. One expended Cartridge
iii. Three (3) 9mm live ammunition
iv. Five (5) Cutlasses
v.  One small Axe
vi. Two (2) polythene bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp
vii. Three (3) black jackets and assorted charms being used for their operations.

Other items suspected to have been robbed from innocent citizens include:
i. New assorted cloths
ii. Eight (cool Handsets
iii. One laptop
iv. One Motorcycle

The suspects confessed to be the ones robbing people on that axis as the lady among them usually keeps their arms after every operation.

2.  RECOVERY OF AMMUNITION: On 15/21/2018 at about 0945hrs, Men of the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) while on stop and search at Sati Agirigi Village Katsina Ala-Takum road sighted and suspected two persons on a Bajaj Motorcycle approaching them. The suspects quickly turn in an attempt to escape but were given a chase. They dropped their handbag containing Fifty Five (55) ammunition of various calibres and some dangerous charms. Effort to arrest the fleeing suspects in progress.

3. ARRESTS OF SIX (6)  ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS BELONGING TO A GANG OF NINE (9) AND RECOVERY OF FIREARM: On 19/11/2018 at about 1530hrs, men of the Operation Zenda based on a tip off arrested some armed men numbering Six (6) namely:

i. Akighir Tyolumun 18yrs (Gang leader)
ii. Iorlumun Kyanya 18yrs
iii. Chia Joshua 18yrs
iv. Tevershima Terhemba 25yrs
v. Peter Terlumun 20yrs and
vi. Tarkighir Emmanuel 18yrs all of various addresses at Ugbema in Buruku LGA.

Items recovered include from include;
i. One (1) single barrel Gun
ii. Six (6) Army camouflage uniform with  three (3) caps
iii. Eight (cool Hand Sets
iv. A pair of shoes
v. One Phone charger
vi. A torchlight and
vii. A small pink coloured bag.

The suspects confessed to a gang of nine (9) terrorising unsuspecting members of the Public along Gboko-Ugbema-Katsina Ala axis and dispossessing them of their valuables.
Effort is on to arrest remaining members of the gang.

4. The Commissioner of Police E. Ene Okon restated the Command's commitment to rid the state of all forms of criminality and appreciated the good people of the State for their cooperation in the fight against crime.

If they hadn't caught them red handed wearing army uniforms and they went on to rob and kill ppl, the story would have been very different, the media would have been claiming the killing were by SUSPECTED herdsmen; while TY Danjuma would have also found it convenient to buttress his baseless Army collusion theory - since Baba would not renew oil bloc licences.
