An independent political group, ‘Project LOUD’ on Wednesday endorsed the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari and that of the APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for 2019 election and vowed to mobilise millions of votes for them during the polls in Lagos.

The group also appealed to Nigerians to make conscious effort to see that the journey to 2019 was peaceful and orderly.

Convener of Project LOUD, Prince Kenny Bakare, who briefed newsmen in Victoria Island, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria to announce its endorsement of Buhari/Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat as well as all other APC candidates for the 2019 General elections, said there should be a situation where all parties and partners freely discuss their weight and justify their hopes on fair grounds, saying that “the journey should be raucous-free and violence should be shunned.”

He added that government, politicians, electorate, electoral bodies, observers and security agents all have a cogent and pivotal role to play in ensuring that the journey was successful and hitch-free,”

“Project LOUD’s goals and objectives are set in accordance with good vision and mission of All Progressives Congress contestants, the vision geared towards progress and development for the country and in the interest of the citizens alone,” Bakare said.

He said the love for the country should be paramount and be made to suppress others aspirations and that “we should disallow doubling the wealth of naysayers and bad wishes by comporting ourselves in the right direction”.

Bakare stated that Project LOUD was officially endorsing all the APC candidates, saying that “ostensibly, the change maker (Buhari/Osinbajo) is here with another next level of moving Nigeria forward to the desired level of recognition in political development and sustainable society.

“Sanwo-Olu is all about good governance, an all inclusive government, a listening government that would listen to everybody and respond swiftly, a Lagos that would be good for all.”

Bakare also said there was already grassroots structures in place in all the 57 local councils in the State to mobilise millions of votes for Buhari and Sanwo-Olu and that by December 1 when governorship campaigns kicked off, they would all go into action.

He called on all voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, as in less than 90 days, the country would be ready to elect new leaders, and that “as such, as law abiding citizens, it is imperative for us to have our our Permanent Voters Card for the purpose of positive next level in the country.”

A representative of Sanwo-Olu, Segun Dawodu said the governorship candidate was ready to run an all inclusive government that would not close the door against anybody.

“The Sanwo-Olu administration will run an all inclusive government and there is no shutting of the door on anybody. When he gets to power, he will surely implement good governance,” he said.
