Naming players for awards categories.

Each Committee member is to list 3 nominees for each category. With the exception of the Super Falcons player of the year which will be done soon after the completion of the AWC. After all Committee members have nominated. We collate and the highest 3 nominees per category are chosen. Where there is a tie we go into voting.

Forgiveness and Tbaba1234 please revisit your nominations and make them 3 per category and do so for all categories. Thanks.

Is this just for sample or your actual nominations?

I think the rules is clear. Every committee member should nominate 3 players per category.

I’m afraid there might be some confusion, if not in the nomination stage here, in the voting stage later. Which is why I suggested earlier your rewording the categories e.g Super Eagles player of the year etc. (not Nigerian player of the year). Else you will have to remind monikers we are only considering GWG performances, not club performances.

But I’m okay if u want to go on with this. I will make my nominations later today

For the Best Midfielder's award we are toren between two Fallen heroes: Samuel Okwaraji and Thompson Oliha.

Tbaba1234, ChrisKels, Joebie, TheSuperNerd, Forgiveness, Komekn, let's chose one.

I go for Samuel Okwaraji especially as he died during service.

Samuel Okwaraji, he paid the ultimate price to play for Nigeria.

These are my nominations which I have also used as a sample for others.

On Nigerian Player of the year I obviously mean Super Eagle player of the year. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Each Committee member nominates 3 per category and we select the 3 highest frequency of nominations. If there is any tie we vote.
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Joebie: 1:06pm On Nov 26, 2018
Sir I’m clear on that. But I’m saying you want voters eventually to vote according to the players’ SE performances ONLY. Hence there is need for clarity in the naming of the categories.

Vital point. That is the challenge with these home based players.

I rated Eze based on his CHAN outing.

But what if Lokosa, Ezenwa and any other player that was earlier home based have also moved to Europe now? Guess the committee will also iron this out.

The award will only be open to those who are still homebased. If this were a serious award, Eze or his reps will not be coming to collect the award. It would seem out of place. So let’s name the category appropriately, or disqualify those who are now foreign based all together.
