i think the first thing would be to find a TRUSTABLE person to run the hotel for you. . . . . . . . . . and to make sure that he has some knowledge on how to run a hotel business (if you dont).

Apart from the management issues for which you have been advised above, I will like to add that you
should invest in a good CCTV system that allows you to view recorded or live streams online to ensure
that you are not being fleeced and taken to the cleaners by your staff. The check - in counter view alone
is enough. If you invest, you should be able to reap the benefit, not someone else. Goodluck.

Any hotel worth its salt should make provisions for 24hrs electricity - this of course depends on
where it will be located.
