MERCY VERSUS JUDGEMENT

Our God is a holy God. At the same time, He is Love. From time to time, the holiness of God and the love of God may clash. His holiness will direct Him to go one way while His love will direct Him to go the other way. These two divine attributes may therefore seem to be at odds with each other. When the love of God wins we obtain mercy, but when His holiness triumphs, we get judgement. Many times, God's holiness deliberately allows His love to keep winning. Why? Because it knows that it is already settled that without holiness, no man shall see God (Hebrews 12:14). Our deeds often deserve God's judgement, but the love of God triumphs, and we obtain mercy. One thing is certain: it is because the love of God wins that we are able to see another day. Thank God for His mercies, because they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Love is optimistic, always saying to God, "Don't lose hope in him; he will get better; let's give him another day to repent and become holy." However, a day will come when God's judgement will take its course.

On the basis of the scripture that says "the mercy of God endures forever", some people make several ridiculous claims. Some of them say "I can do whatever I like; the mercy of God that has helped me thus far will keep forgiving me forever." Some even prepare their confessional plea before they commit sin! They say to God, "Please forgive me for this lie I am about to tell." Such people are only deceiving themselves. The fact that God's love grants us access to His mercy does not mean that God is stupid. Yes, the mercy of God endures forever, but not for those who do not fear Him. Psalm 103:17-18 says:

“But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.”

Those who fear God are wise enough to know that any pleasure derived from sin is actually poisoned. If you fear Him, you will know that although He is a very good friend, He can also be a very dangerous enemy. If He decides to fight you, no one can rescue you from His hands. It is folly for a child to keep annoying his or her father just because he or she was forgiven yesterday. One day, the father with turn to that child with a rod, and because the child has been steadily building up annoyance in the heart of the father, that rod will do some serious havoc. I pray that God will touch your heart and take away every appetite for sin in Jesus' Name.

If you have mercy, you will not judge.
Even if you do, you will judge mercifully.

I always pray to God not to judge me like I judge others and to always show me mercy.

But I never pray that he takes away my appetite for sin. Because the flesh is sinful and that is an appetite needed for survival in this sinful world.

No one can do anything of himself unless it is giving to him from heaven. I understand that there can be only one Sin, which is the Sin again the Holy Spirit, those things we do daily that makes our hearts to cut, we are trying to quit doing them, those are not sins but Iniquity, and when we try to transfer the aggression or blame it on something or someone, it is a Transgression.
I understand that the sin we commit against another creature which he/she is holding against us and want us to pay for is called,. Trespass.
However, when you are married to Jesus through baptism in His name, you begin to relive the garden of Eden again. Unlimited grace

Thank God for his love and mercy no wonder he said if he decides to make marks of sin who could stand.

Everyone believes in mercy in judgement when they wrong someone or God but when they are wronged they call on "the God of justice".... Christians, i mourn for you...... You only believe in the God that suites your situation..

It's an automatic response when you call on Jesus because in him dwell the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is the one that will go after a lion or bear over a single LOST sheep

Mercy disregard judgment

If you understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, you will know that he doesn't punish at all. All the bad things you encounter are coming from workers of iniquity and Satan is their Prince.

do not put satan on the same level with God.... Note that there are rules in creation and if you break them you get your reward..... God does not punish neither can satan... God has all power and has check mates to make sure that its followed but man with his free will and over thinking putting the flesh before the spirit has lead to this... God is a God of justice, fair to all and his laws dont change for anyone.... Where there is need for a change there is no perfection and only God is perfect.... Your right about God not punishing

God is a just God but that is different from the way you are looking at it by saying God of Justice. His already perfect because He knows the end from the beginning and that is why He is God, the only thing that change are His programs. Just like we have the first world, and the second which is this one, inside the second we have had two testerment, the first been the Law and prophecies that bring about the current testerment of Grace. Now this new testerment also has program changing of seven kinds with their characteristics. Within these programs we find four cardinal characters or office that is operational and they also have their counters of flipped sides. If you're not careful, you would be convinced they're God when face to face with this reality due to the powers at their disposal. But God is one with many attributes more than four, and all the attributes are housed in one name, the name Jesus. He is the head of ALL PRINCIPALLITY. Jesus is God and the only job he does is mediation (redemption) and not accusing (permission to punish).
