PDP Campaign Council: Pressure On Wike To Rescind Resignation

Sunday Sun reliably gathered that PDP bigwigs and the allies of the presidential candidate of the party had quickly reached out to Governor Wike, urging him to reconsider his stand for the interest of the party.
BY THE SUN NEWSPAPERDEC 02, 2018

Following the resignation of the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, as the South-South zonal coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council yesterday, intense pressure has been mounted on him to rescind his decision, Sunday Sun authoritatively gathered.

Our sister publication, Saturday Sun, had broken the news that the Rivers governor would tender his letter of resignation yesterday, an action considered by many would cause a major upset to the presidential campaign of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Sunday Sun reliably gathered that PDP bigwigs and the allies of the presidential candidate of the party had quickly reached out to Governor Wike, urging him to reconsider his stand for the interest of the party.

It was not certain yesterday whether Wike has accepted their pleas.

The Rivers governor was in October named zonal coordinator along side Ayo Fayose, Aminu Tambuwal, Ibrahim Dankwambo, Samuel Ortom, and Dave Umahi with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, as Director-General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Council.

Specifically, Governor Aminu Tambuwal is in charge of Northwest, Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, Northeast; Governor Samuel Ortom, North-Central; Governor Dave Umahi, Southeast; Governor Nyesom Wike, South-South and former Governor Ayodele Fayose, Southwest.

Sunday Sun reliably gathered that Wike was angered by the way vital decisions and appointments were carried out without consultations of party leaders.

Wike is not a fo0l, before this rouges came back to PDP after destroying PDP cos of Jonathan. Wike and people like ffk and fayose supported PDP with money and in kind, they supported PDP even to the supreme court when sheriff tried hijacking them. Yet atiku brought dollars from no where to buy all delegates and rubbish his efforts, while a tribe started supporting them again because of an appointment

Wike has his reelection to focus on.

Wike spent a lot of money during Sheriffs distraction, same during Pdp convention. You guys sidelined him and still wants him to dance to your tunes? No

Lol, someone is trying to run Away from nemesis and you are asking him to put the party first; evil party, never again. Atikulooters are the enemies of this country, rolled into one. They were solidly behind kanu, and when the coward Hussein-Bolted to Israel, they are now supporting Atiku. Nigeria will recover from your masters' bondage and jail all the remnants of you after karma has done it's bit.

Confused party

Who is bankrolling Atiku campaign now?

Nyesom Wike the PDP CEO don vex since his candidate was out-dollared in Port Harcourt.

Udom Emmanuel have his hands full with Akpabio challenge.

Ben Ayade has kept himself away from PDP frenzy.

Seriake Dickson is more of an observer now.

Okowa is fighting for his own survival.

Gov. Umahi is fascinated by Buhari's achievements.

Gov. Obiano don't want anything to do with PDP and would rather work with Buhari.

Gov. Dankwambo now knows it is suicidal to support Atiku.

Ishaya Darius of Taraba is minding his own business.

Ortom suddenly has realised that herdsmen crisis can no longer give him automatic ticket, and the Ortom slogan of "Otomatic" don't sound like automatic any more and no more appealing.

Gov. Aminu Tambuwal is begging sokoto people to forgive his stupidity and still allow him to be their governor for the second time.

Kwara's Fatai Ahmed has woken up from Saraki's induced coma.

Nnmadi Kanu's brother Gov Ikpeazu cannot bankroll Atiku since the supreme leader said No "Lefeledum no Erection".

Kwankwaso wants to save some face and may actually be on his way back to APC.

Lamido is no longer willing to work with Satan to dethrone Buhari, maybe the only Satan he is willing to work with is himself.

Makarfi just fizzled out as if he didn't fight heaven and earth to collect the PDP Chairman position from Modu Sheriff.

David mark is still in shock with the 35 votes he got in PH, he didn't know who he should be angry at; is it the 122 Benue state delegates that gave him only 35 votes or the party he served for 20 years, that couldn't reward loyalty?

Jonah Jang's own is worse, this time around he got the 19 votes he needed to beat Ameachi in the GOVERNOR'S FORUM'S election, but alas this is a different election. Ok.

Maybe OBJ will roll out the money, but Baba Iyabo is only known for spending government money during election.

So Atiku is left with SARAKI and those who want to even make dollars from him instead of contributing to the election.

It sounds funny but so true.

In short, all PDP Governors have suddenly realised that their support for an Atiku over a Buhari, is nothing but sure way to waste their states meager resources and a journey to nowhere.

They will settle I know. Wike has tried for PDP so he can't play a lesser role now. He should be carried along. Wike,F.f.k. and Fayose stood for PDP when the going was bad so they shouldn't be treated anyhow.
