Whereas am enjoying Etisalat @ .25k/sec to any network in Nigeria presently for just N300 monthly rental. This MTN guys don't seem to understand that the price war had moved beyond .50k/second, bla bla bla. I guess its about time MTN, Zain and Glo started doing something before they lose ground completely in the south-south and south-east Nigeria.

Hi all. MTN after almost 2years of the same tariff comes up with this. Well unfortunately for us they have the largest number of subscribers. The tariff is ONLY for those who make a LOT of MTN to MTN calls. Pls dont migrate onless you ONLY call MTN numbers. They details of the tariff are still sketchy, it was only launched on July 29.

Re: Mtn Link Tariffs by celemel(m): 4:29pm On Jul 31, 2010
@Tivta
Etisalat calls that originate from any of the states of the south-south and south-east to any network in Nigeria are billed at .25k/second. It is called super homezone. In the option, a daily rental of N10 is deducted at 00.00hrs everyday from your balance. To migrate, you dial *230*1#. This also includes a weekly 600 free seconds to call your special "You and Me" number if u use a minimum of N200/week. It also includes free 60 seconds to call any network for every 3 minutes call recieved from other networks! I've been on this plan in the last 3 months and I've seen my phone bills driven down by over 60%. I was waiting for MTN to give them a fight for their bucks, only to read this stupid LINK plan! Very very STUPID indeed!

Re: Mtn Link Tariffs by ambyzown(m): 10:32pm On Aug 24, 2010
You guys don't even know the half of it.
The so called 50mins for on-net calls on the Funlink package is billed per-minute. Which means that if u call a number for only 2 seconds, u still get billed for a full minute. (Per minute billing re-loaded) The 60mb bundled data evaporates like petrol in the wind. No more family and friends.
But the most annoying aspect is that if u use up your 50mins or 60mb data before the end of the month, you cannot load another N1500 and get a fresh package. u are forced to make calls at 53k per second ON-NET!!!
It is cheaper for me call an MTN number with my Etisalat line than with MTN.
Kudos MTN!
