To the post, this is just Ambode flying the kite. The hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob. The now ex-commissioner was just echoing the grievances Ambode is not airing at the moment for fear of their colonial master. Ambode will pull the rug of their feet at the 11th hour. There's a reason Agbaje is confident of finally breaking Lagos free from the stranglehold of Lord Bolagard Tinubu, the the self imposed Governor General of the South West. That is why the colonial master too is worried about campaigning for Buhari at he center. He knows his stronghold of SW is under threat by the likes of Agbaje/Amobode in Lagos and Amosun in Ogun State.

Talking about Ambode’s potentially sneaky last-minute moves, any politician can only turn the tides IF he has the structure. “Political structure”, in today’s Lagos (and to an extent in states like Oyo, Kwara, etc) include the following:

1. Transport union members and the various EXCOs
2. Community Development Associations (CDAs)
3. Local government chairmen and their staff
4. Traditional rulers across the 4 divisions of Lagos
5. Market women and men groups and associations, including the Iyaloja, who, today, is Tinubu’s daughter
6. Party members rooted in streets of core voting areas of Lagos- Alimosho (the local government with the highest registered voters in Nigeria!), Oshodi, Lagos Island.

In today’s Lagos, both Ambode and regular customer Jimi Agbaje have no structure. It is pathetic for Agbaje in particular, as the few strong men who gave him any form of structure in 2015 have since joined APC- people like Musiliu Obanikoro and Moshood Salvador, the immediate past Lagos PDP Chairman, and the 7 members of the House of Assembly!

Jimi Agbaje launched his campaign last week in Lekki Phase 1. Elitist Lekki Phase 1? How many people vote there? And he picked an unknown woman from the corporate sector, as a deputy, when APC picked Hamzat, a technocrat who is also a politician! Jimi Agbaje’s advisers are morons.

Winning elections is not an elitist thing; it is not about social media rants. 80% of voters in Nigeria do not even own smartphones that can access data for social media rant! That is the plain truth!

A very naive viewpoint. Forget all the so-called party structure Tinubu wields, there are some of us if we decide to join Agbaje train, winning Lagos is as simple as ABC. Without even drawing a Plan A or B blueprint, the Plan C strategy I have in my mind will give Agbaje 60-65% votes of the electorates in Lagos -- and that's without recourse to the so-called market women and local govt chairmen blah, blah, blah structure. These people are part of the stronghold along with Tinubu that needs to be uprooted and dismantled, so Lagos can be truly free and independent.

I'm not on the train yet, but people like us are coming soon. When we arrive, individuals people like you deify and worship will be roundly demystified like regular next door neighbours!
