The World Bank Group was established in 1944, the WBG is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge for development solutions.

In fiscal year 2017, the World Bank Group committed $59 billion in loans, grants, equity investments and guarantees to its members and private businesses, of which $19 billion was concessional finance to its poorest members. It is governed by 188 member countries and delivers services out of 120 offices with nearly 15,000 staff located globally.

The World Bank Group is calling for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the below position:

Description

- The World Bank Internship Program offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the World Bank Group in international development.

- The internship allows individuals to bring new perspectives, innovative ideas and latest research experience into the Bank’s work and improve their skills while working in a diverse environment.

Eligibility Criteria

- To be eligible for an Internship, candidates must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program (pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D.’s degrees with plans to return to school full-time).

- There is no age limit.

- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of languages such as: French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese is desirable. Other skills such as computing skills are advantageous.

I wouldnt be surprised if the internship is unpaid....

BUT you manage to get a full time / contract job there, the salary is highly competitive!

Training On Data Management And Statistical Analysis Using Stata

About the course

The training will enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants to analyse data in a fast, accurate and easier manner by using Stata software and will know how to interpret and present the results. This will also enable participants to gain experience of the practical application of the statistical analytical techniques.

Target Participants

The training is designed for participants who intend to learn the use of Stata for data management and data analysis. Those working or seeking employment in the public sector, research institution and NGOs, and those working as a private consultant.


What you will learn

Understand and appropriately use data science terms and concepts
Perform data cleaning and transformation tasks with Stata
Perform simple to complex data visualization tasks using Stata software
Run Statistical tests using Stata e.g Frequency, Chi-square, Correlation, T-Test, ANOVA, Regression, Survey Analysis e.t.c.
Perform data interpretation using Stata Output.

Training Approach

This course is delivered by our seasoned trainer who has vast experience as expert professionals in the respective fields of practice. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be emailed a printable certificate of training.

Saturday 8th December 2018, starting at 9 am.


Training venue

The training will be conducted at DataLab Suite 33 Mazfalah Plaza Karu Site Abuja, Nigeria.

Payment

We are offering more than 50% discount on the training fee as end of the year Skill Rollover Initiative (SRI). The training fee originally cost N45,000.

But participant ARE NOW required to pay only N10,000 as part of the year-end initiative. The fee only covers training materials and attendance.
