Which African Country Is Better Off Nigeria Economy Wise?

As much as traveling is encouraged for the purpose of exposure and education, the facts can be faked but not always for long. For the purpose of enlightenment for those who always feel it is greener on the other side of the border, I have carefully put up this inquisitional & informative piece to save us the delusion of "Alice in a no man's land."

Amidst the political heat, economic tension bedeviling the country and insecurity or insurgency cases recurrent in the North East of Nigeria, we really need to educate and ring it to our youths ears that by facts and figure, Nigeria is by far better than Ghana, South Africa and the rest of African countries economy and opportunity wise. As a traveller and having been to most of these African countries, I must confess they are nothing close to Nigeria in business opportunity & economic strength.

The only problem is that we Nigerians are naturally and glamorously accustomed to laziness, lacks innovation, detest mental challenge, turn blind eye and pay lip service to human capacity development, dogmatic & overly narcissistic and sadistic, engrossed and lost in the shadow of our own ego pedalling, we are either culturally rooted or rumour obsessed, overly engrossed with negative energy such that we don't want to see anything good in the world around us, pay less attention to details, psychologically & emotionally attached to mischievous news, associated with administrative self centeredness or virtually greed at play on all fronts. Out of nothing we want everything purported in the light of extravagance and materialism; fast money, fast life & fast cars.
For the credit, it most be noted that Nigerians are naturally endowed with a fair share of the world from the good and bad prism.

Lastly, we detest each other home & abroad. We claim we are politically & academically informed but believe me, we are so disunited, inconsistent, ethnocentric, religious and politically embittered & imbued with rift that even 92% of the PhD holder are awashed in the hallow of their own ignorance of a progressive global village and values. Lastly, Nigerians want everything free that's why the cheapest goods are found and sold in Nigeria; name it. That is why our economy, finances and business defile the postulations of Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and Yale University as businesses cripples in awe. The reason why your administrative & business management prowess gained in The USA, Canada, Europe or Australasia fails you in Africa for the faults of a negative energy and signal in the atmosphere.

We want everything for free; free water, free oxygen, free housing, free road network, free utility & social infrastructure, free husband, free wife, free job, free money, free government, free health care, free education, free peace, free date, free relationship, free border. We only know how to receive life but we are not ready to give life. We all want sacrifice but we are not ready to stake in sacrifices. As Nigerians, we seem so aback and absolved in our own planet and disconnected from the rest of the world to believe that their is another better Nigeria or a better country elsewhere. If the truth must be told, We must be resolute and clear on the fact that there is no singular country on earth today void of its own internal economic challenge so this piece is not in essence to project Nigerians as the black sheep of the lots but just a unit citizen of the world; meaning Nigeria is not the centre of the world and as such we should desist from making a noise about it.

If there is any African country you have ever visited and have a complementary or contrary experience or opinion to contribute on this topic, please kindly drop your contribution as no man is an arbiter of knowledge for the sole purpose of educating the border locked minds.
