African Women in leadership Organisations Lagos Chapter Partnering Afriglobal Medicare Services ltd, Small Christian Community and CCR of Regina Pacis Church Lekki empowers Over two hundred Members of the Community in Eti Osa Local Government area of Lagos State.The Multifaceted Empowerment Outreach was carried out through Skills and Entrepreneurship trianings,Preventive Medical Care and Wellness Counselling,Technical Workshops and Financial Support for select Members of the Communities who will be receiving the packages in later dates after satisfying the criterias.

The Event which held in the Premises of the Church on Saturday 17th of November for the whole day saw to a free medical screening of over One hundred and fifty Members of the Community with free Wellness Counselling .

Over two hundred Individuals participated in the syndicate trianings facilitated by Team from Lagos Business School and Lead Consultants from various fields of endeavour (Technical and Business). Trianing TEAM from Network for Women and Public Policy NETWAPP were also on ground.

Areas covered includes Entrepreneurship ,Information and Communication Technology,Marketing Communications,Value Chain Management and Opportunities in Agriculture ,Web Design and Development,Graphics Design StoryTelling ,Commercialisation of Skills , Solar Technology and Installation,Catering and Hotel Management.

Skills Acquisition and Workshops were equally inculcated in the trianings as other participants were also drilled in Aluminium Fabrication and Designs by a TEAM From Lagos State Skills Acquisition Center Mushin.

The Community Service Outreach in AWLO is one of the requisite roles of state Chapters of the Organisation to connect with their host Communities as an extension of the Organisations' CSR in their Leadership Development Works across Continents.

This year focused on Preventive Madical care,Vocational /Skills and Entrepreneurship Trianings,Technology Education,Networking etc.

According to the Lagos Chapter Cordinator of AWLO Mrs Maureen Omeibe ,who is also the Global Dean of Coordinators, the Leadership Development Programme of AWLO is Wholistic and it tries to Connect the Membership to the relevance of Service in the discharge of Leadership duties across shares of human endeavour.

The one full day event that is executed Under the Plartform of their Project GCEP ( Grassroot Connect Empowerment Project ) due to its Community Outlook was the first one since the Official Launch of the Project in 2017.

Going Further Mrs Omeibe ,Who is also the Founder of Network for Women and Public Policy and an Executive Director in a Sub Automobile Company Degab Industries Limited,emphasised the need for members of the Community who aspire to be leaders in their line of endeavours to acquire additional skills,tailored and cutting edge trianings to boost Confidence,knowledge and proficiency for increased productivity.It is all about Continuous Learning and Improvement in what ever environment we find our selves she said.She is Calling on groups,Organisations or individuals who possess the requisite Capacity to bank on these nature of programmes to support the government in optimising the economic Output and productivity of citizens at that level.This she says is why NETWAPP collaborated in the Event.

Addressing the Participants she noted that the Objective of the Outreach in addition to the welfare provision is to bring a message of Service in Leadership and capacity building home to the Members of the Community through trianings and exposure to the various hidden Opportunities in the environment available to them for exploitation.

She went ahead to express her expectation that the participants will make use of the garnered knowledge and psychological empowerment to gain further independence in establishing and running small scale enterprises or skill shops.

No participant is expected to remain idle after the trianing hence opportunities for advance trianings and financial Support is provided all in Partnership with the Small Christian Community and CCR of Regina Pacis Lekki.
