HELLO GRADUATE & EXPERIENCED GEOLOGISTS, GEOSCIENTISTS, EARTH SCIENTISTS ET AL...

(1) Do we have any registered union, platform, group, association, club, etc that caters for the interests of aspiring professionals in this field in Naija...NB: Please I do not mean the NMGS, NAPE, etc

(2) Many Naija graduates of this esteemed disciple seem to be on "OYO"...On Your Own...mode...after school. Why is it so?

(3) Graduate of the discipline do attend certain functions...workshops, seminars, paper presentations, etc, organized/sponsored by the Oil and Gas companies but how did these meeting impact the aspirants? Are there graduates that successfully got networked into coys?

(4) There a notable M.Sc. holders of this discipline that are yet to secure employment. So many up-graded after BSc and spent so much resources acquiring relevant software trainings to no avail...Why?

(5) Can geologists establish private businesses (SMEs) considering the specialized nature of the field (not desperate software training centers we have in town)? What is needed to achieve these SME ventures?

(6) The job openings and employment opportunities for geologists and allied disciplines appears to be rare. In some cases, publicity/advert and transparency issues trail the selection process. Why?

(7) How can a viable Geology Community be birthed to cater for the interests of aspiring graduate geologists?

***Do you have useful propositions, ideas, experiences, encounters, testimonies or way-forward that will help a geologist out there, kindly share***

...YOUR TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER THAN YOUR TODAY...SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!
