Who Else Wants The BB Key2 LE In Nigeria - Check Specs And Price by Nobody: 8:26am On Dec 11, 2018
Hi Guys, It BlackBerry coming back into the Nigeria market with the BlackBerry Key2 LE. The device looks like what we've already seen on the Key one which most of us might not be familiar with but its a full android device with all android apps compatible with it.

The Key2 LE is a well-designed device with a dual camera and a physical iconic U-shaped keyboard with keys shortcuts, a touchscreen navigation keys above the keyboard. The body of is made from a polycarbonate material weighing just 158g, and the soft back texture makes it feel nice to hold and avoids slipping from the hands, still on the front, we have a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass.

DISPLAY

BlackBerry Key2 LE features an IPS capacitive touchscreen of 4.5-inch full HD display with 1620 x 1080 pixels in resolution resulting up to 434 PPI (pixel density). The display has a 24-bit color depth, 16M color, and 56% screen to body ratio.

CAMERA

We have a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, a PDAF, and many more features plus a secondary 5MP camera Lens with f/2.4 aperture. The pictures taken on the device comes out pretty good with the Google Lens which has the image recognition feature, with detailed colors but we have no AI on this. The rear camera further features a gesture shot, an HDR, 6P Lens and so to be seen below.

Did bb did proper research before dishing this product? I doubt that. Well some customers may like QWERTY keys but many rarely use that. The Nigerian market is classified into 3; low, middle and high class. The low and middle end product tend to sell more than high end phones. This is as result of the purchasing power of many Nigerians. According to premium times many Nigerians live below $1(https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2012/02/13/100-million-nigerians-earn-less-than-1-a-day-says-agency/). The report by guardian online news shows that 61% of Nigerians live below $1 as at 2017 (https://m.guardian.ng/news/61-nigerians-live-below-one-dollar-per-day). Now tell me is bb ready for Nigeria market that is already saturated or they want to target the high class citizens like what Nokia is trying to do?.
Gone are the days when companies just dish out products without proper research. Many thread on some funny phone brand spring forth on this thread but they died mysteriously.
Suggestions:
The Nigerian phone market is saturated already hence bb should consider the following if they want to sell their brand in Nigeria
1. Stop or limit the production of QWERTY key phones
2. They should consider the battery life of phones they produce because this country experiences erratic power supply. All classes to a large extent are affected by this menace
3.They should consider low and middle end users as their competitor Trans Holding is using that to penetrate the market. Many rich guys had rethink of buying most of this expensive phones when the ones produced by Trans Holdings can serve better.
