A man was, on Friday morning, caught by some hookers who had just been scammed at a hotel in Langbasa, Ajah, Lagos State. It was gathered that the man and his two friends had requested the services of the hookers for an all-night session. . However, two of them fled before the ladies could wake up, the next day. Fortunately for the girls, they nabbed one of the boys. Meanwhile, in a moment of loss of concentration, he also wanted to flee, but was given a hot chase and caught again. Since prostitution is an illegal act in Nigeria, then not paying someone for it isn't illegal because oral or written contracts cannot be enforced for illegal acts. If you run away from a prostitute, then she has no legal recourse (unless , of course, you are in an area where prostitution is legal and she can prove that there was indeed an agrement between the two of you) and even if she called the police, at best, she'd be arrested for prostitution (or whatever outstanding offenses that she may have) and you'd be arrested for allegedly soliciting prostitution and possibly disturbing the peace. but, Just like many other things in life, while something may not necessarily be illegal, it may be very unwise to do them anyway simply because their potential risks far outweigh any possible reward. Addendum: How we wish we can always have a reasonable response to issues like this on Nairaland, rather than all the hate, tribalism, curses that abound here everyday.
