TechCapon:
TechCapon

This year 2018 was a pleasant year for technology since we saw a ton of activity in the tech world. A great deal happened that got us excited, running from electric cars to self-driving vehicles. Additionally we saw a great deal of scandals in the year from Facebook to Tesla and other tech goliaths. In any case, there are numerous tech stuff which couldn't endure the turbulence and they kicked the bucket this year never to be seen again.
More than 100 tech products died a horrible death this year but time won’t permit us to go into all of that. Rather we’ve selected the top 5 most notable ones and we’ll be talking about them.

SONY PS VITA

It came as a shock to every gamer when SONY announced it will no longer produce the PS Vita anymore from 2019. Tech experts around the world believe that the success of the Nintendo Switch is what caused SONY to kill the PS Vita. The company does not want to compete anymore with the Nintendo Switch so it’s pulling the plug on the PS Vita.

FARADAY FUTURE

The company is not dead yet but it’s definitely on life support ! The much celebrated electric car maker with cutting edge technology is having serious financial challenges. The challenges comes from the Chinese investors who have been accused of trying to kill the company in order to obtain it’s patents. Next year we will know if the company is going to die or not.

RISE AND FALL OF BITCOIN

To say that bitcoin is a mess will be an insult to messes. It has become a joke in the tech and finance industry. Everyone who invested in Bitcoin this year has lost money as the value keeps falling down. It doesn’t look like the value of Bitcoin will rise anytime soon but time will tell.

YAHOO MESSENGER

It’s not as if this messenger is going to be missed because I know it won’t. Not with the presence of Whatsapp, Facebook messenger and the others. On July 17, Yahoo dropped the news that it is killing off the Yahoo messenger to “focus on developing new and, exciting communications tools that better fit consumer needs.” I wish them good luck !

UBER OTTO SELF DRIVING TRUCKS

Just the same way we have Google’s Waymo, that’s the same way Uber developed a self driving truck called Otto. Actually Otto was a startup that was co-founded by ex Google employees but it was bougt by Uber. The truck had advanced technology that could enable the truck deliver a shipment Budweiser beer for over 120 miles. However, when an Uber self driving car killed a 41 year old woman in US early this year, the the company dumped the idea.

Adding Bitcoin present fall to the above list is totally irrelevant!
Do u know the history of bitcoin? How many times it has fallen, only to rise again stronger and better?

Or maybe people think bitcoin or cryptocurrency is ponzi that will just keeping rising and rising!

Do ur research, and dont miss the vast opportunity nature is presenting! A word is enough for the wise!

What else can holders of Bitcoins do with it apart from looking for buyers to buy it from you?

Bitcoin dead?

Are you really a techcapon?

So in your brain, price determines the death of a technology?

It's like saying bearish trends in share prices signify the death of the stockmarket.

What's bitcoin doing in your list? Do your background study on bitcoin market trend since 2009 till date. Remove bitcoin from that your list.

No, bros. It came as NO shock to any gamer when Sony finally stopped production of the PSVita. The console has been on life-support for the past few years and Sony themselves stopped supporting it with games ages ago. It was already near death even before the Nintendo Switch was released.

Yet another TechCapon thread with poorly researched info.

Why not offer a rebuttal to his post, if you have one, was the name calling necessary?? Na wah ..

Google hangout, does that one still exist? Google have failed woefully trying to develop a messaging app that can compete with what's app.

Gosh!

Op you are so ignorant. Bitcoin and altcoins just have a bearish run and it will bounce back. Op really need to read up the widespread adoption of bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Bitcoin is not dead and will never die. Its a new type of money still in the making and it could actually replace paper money in future.

It's fluctuating just like every other currency, it's not dying. Yesterday alone it rose 10%.

Thanks for that reply.
I think Op is.more of a blogger than a techie.

Cryptocurrency is one application of blockchain tech, among many others. Bitcoin is the chief among the cryptocurrency, to say it has died is to display sheer ignorance. Its price has crashed, yeah...but even its present price is still 100 times what it used to be before it got recognized world over.
It is one thing to see it as an investment option and another to see it from angle of its use and application. These are not same thing

Can we readdress the "bitcoin is dead" statement?
This Topic was created in December last year. Around that Time bitcoin was trading at $3500.

Do u know the same bitcoin grew to $13k plus this year? Imagine u bought in December last year at $3500 when OP was screaming "Dead" and sold at $13k u would have made x3 of ur investment.

As at today we are in another bearish moment and still btc is trading at $7500.

Please I encourage you to do your research and Don't let this life time opportunity pass u by.

Enough said
