Opportunities Are Everywhere by Femoje(m): 5:07pm On Dec 24, 2018 |
Someone said opportunities are usually dressed as hard, hard, hard work. Most people detest hard work and hence they miss opportunities. Most people want easy life. Sleep by midnight. Wake by 9am. Servers serve you fruit juice and invite you to shower. Then your meal is on the dining table and then after eating you get back to watching movies. You are invited for lunch and then you get back to watching movies until midnight when you go to bed. In between you get to the table to take candy with cookies and eat it with some ice tea! Hey! That kind of easy life daily and weekly and all year round only happens in soap opera. In other to get opportunities you must be willing to work hard I mean some sort of serious work. Then you have to keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities in the very place of work. Those looking for easy life without some work seem not to get it. Ask most people who have travelled to America and they will tell you that they have easy lives now. Yes, some of them sold their houses in Africa in order to finance the trip. Some sold all they have worked for all their lives. Some of them left NNPC and other lucrative jobs in order to get to their dream land. A CEO of a company recently shared with me how he moved from the laboratory of a company to the marketing department. Within a short while he has moved to the upper wrong of the marketing ladder of the company and his model was being used as training manual for new intakes. He latter left that company and moved on to oil marketing. But wait, that meant a cut in pay! He was determined for the change and took it. He moved round about three companies in the oil sector as a marketer. Later he moved on to own his own company and the company is a huge success. He got opportunities by keeping his ears and eyes on the ground. This individual also mentioned the importance of soft skills in the journey to stardom. Friend, being a star did not start today, it started yesterday! Every Olympic star was a runner from his primary school days. Rise up, the opportunities in Nigeria are massive. Opportunities abound in every sector of the economy. During my time as a corper in Yauri, Kebbi State, I knew a guy who travels from Yauri to Lagos with dry fish for sale. He is doing fine today. The profit margin in buying and selling of fish is massive sir. Yauri is one of the four Emirates in Kebbi and apart from Argungu it’s the other town that the River Niger water has to pass before reaching Niger State. So, easy access to fish makes it cheap. People must eat food. So, getting a particular food item from the farm to the city can make you a fortune sir. People are known to have sponsored their children up to University level by simply retailing ugwu. The profit margin is above 100% daily. A guy was said to have finished from school without a job. He was from Edo where they had a lot of oil palm so that palm oil was cheap. He went to the place and enquired about the cost as compared to Kaduna where he resided. The price difference was good. He moved on to buy in Edo and sell in Kaduna. after a while he bought a house in Kaduna. He became prosperous. Wake up guys and girls. Some graduates complain of lack of jobs and they fail to respond to vacancies in the newspapers. They claim that the jobs are already taken and that the advert was just for fulfilment of all righteousness. I got 2 major jobs by responding to paper job adverts. Tuesday and Thursday Guardian were my friends those days. I rejected some job offers I found via newspaper advertisements because the pay was small after interviewing. Sometimes I got 3 interviews in a week! The good jobs are still in the newspapers. The opportunities in egg distribution is enormous too. You get the eggs from the farm and sell in the town at a profit of 10% and above on every create sold at whole sale price. I do not recommend selling at retail price (Its also profitable). I prefer concentrating on the whole sale system. If you can get a van and move your eggs round you can make 10,000 naira daily. That is assuming you sell 100 crates daily and make a profit of 100 naira per crate. In theUnited States it’s a big thing if you have a shop, store, supermarket. The opportune time is now! Opportunities on the internet are too numerous. What shall I say about forex trading, binary, cryptocurrencies, football betting and many more. A lot of effort is invested in schooling sir. Why cant the same effort be invested in researching these internet goldmine. At present, any one who is doing any thing online money wise is seen as a crook. That mindset must change if we will get anywhere. This is the time for you to learn how to trade forex online. Get busy with babypips.com. With patience and some capital you will be smiling to the bank daily, weekly and all year round. When I started trading forex I made my monthly salary in one week. It was so, so surprising to me. Learn the basics and the complex and the develop your own winning style. It’s a market. Study it and you will win. The opportunities to travel abroad for free are vast too. I will write on each as we proceed from time to time. https://newkokoro.com/2018/12/18/opportunities-are-everywhere/ |
