The immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to take his campaign flag-off to Zamfara or Borno States.


Fayose wondered why Buhari would abandon the crisis-ridden states and opt for Akwa Ibom, a state, according to him, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has made peaceful.

The former Governor, in a tweet on Thursday afternoon, also accused the President of making just a phone call to Zamfara, a state which has been the hotbed of killings in recent times.


Fayose said Buhari should have chosen Zamfara, Yobe or Borno for his campaign flag-off.

He tweeted, “Nigerians are being killed in Zamfara, President Buhari could only make phone calls.

“But he is going to Akwa Ibom, a state made peaceful by the PDP Govt of @MrUdomEmmanuel to flag off his campaign. Why can’t he do the flag off in Zamfara, Yobe or Borno?”

Fayose makes sense. Start your campaign in Zamfara or Maiduguri if you actually believed you've technically defeated bokoharam.

Quick questions; Has APC ever held power in Akwa Ibom?!
Is Zamfara a PDP or APC state?

It's very easy to blame PDP for the "alleged" 16 years of misrule but cannot give credence to them for their laudable achievements.

All you mentioned such as battered economy, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen, corruption and looting, militancy, pipeline vandalism, political thuggery, high hunger/poverty rates, frustration, high rate of unemployment, high mortality rate, nepotism and gross human rights violations, has been the trademark/hallmark of this APC led administration.
Why are you trying to give the glory to PDP, when the truth is so obvious?

this isnt about the PDP. Its the reality on ground. Blame the greedy northern former and present governors and leaders for their insecurity and backwardness. When other regions were busy investing heavily in education of their future generations by declaring it even free in some southern states, the northern governors and leaders were busy promoting Islamic education and marrying multiple wives , as if Nigeria is an Islamic country. They paid little attention to western education which had liberated the world from the dark ages. Even saudi Arabia who introduced Islam to them invests heavily in western education whilst they still promote islamic education, same in the southern part of Nigeria. Go and read the profile of the past and present kings of Saudi Arabia, you'd be amazed. Many of them schooled in the best universities in the western world, including their sheiks. Go to Dubai, the business capital of UAE and see what western education had turned the place into. That's why there are low incidences of crime in those countries and the West western world. Those pockets of violence experienced there are mainly orchestrated by the same brainwashed jihadists living amongst them. Awon omo beliali. Now that their children in the north have turned jihadists after being blindfolded and brainwashed, they're now panicking, causing Nigeria serial backwardness. The funds meant for developing the country is now being diverted into prosecuting a needless war. Had their misfortune and greed caused only their region these woes they are facing, it would have been better. The innocent nigerians from other regions are also sharing in the woes, what a pity!

Fayose needs not to advise APC where to start their campaign all what he should do is to focus on PDP campaign. Doing that is making APC more popular.
