You can own a part of a 20 hectare Plantain farm estate, Ashero, near siun. Obafemi-Owode local govt. Ogun state.
An hour drive from Lagos and 25 mins from Abeokuta.

Details:

The land mass for the plantain farms covers 20 hectares.

The produce will be used to feed the plantain chips processing unit which will be located very close to the farm.

Each bunch from the farm will be paid for at a fixed rate of N400 either small or big.

This rate shall apply for 3 years. An upward review of 20% will be applied after 3 years.

Site specification:
1. The entire 20 hectares has been divided into phases 1, 2, 3 & 4. With each phase holding 5 hectares.
2. Each hectare is 15 plots of 60x120 ft.
3. A total of 1,700 plantain suckers will be planted on each hectare.
4. Organic Manure will be applied to each plant.

B). Time frame for each stage of the task are as follows:
1. Land preparation: January
2. Planting: February
3. Manure application: March.
4. Weed control: April - Nov.
5. Harvesting starts around Nov.

C). Cost implications per hectare:

1. Land lease 3yrs: 30k
2. Brushing 60k
3. Tree felling 20k
4. Burning + packing 20k
5. Planting 1,700 plantain 170k
6. Manure + application 50k
7. Weed control (Apr-Nov) 150k

Total 500k

Note: Weed control rate for the 2nd and 3rd year will be paid after the 1st and 2nd year respectively.

R.O.I Projection.

1st year 680k
2nd year 1.36m
3rd year 1. 36m

D). Documentation:

Monthly over view pictures of the farm will be sent to respective farm owner.

E). Cumulative sales of produce after due notification will be transfered to the respective farm owner monthly.

F). Each phase has a maximum of 5 hectares (a-e). It can be handled by a farmer or group of farmers.

G). I.D cards will be issued based on individual farm location.

H). Farm office will also be maintained by the entrance to the farms.

Any clearing of the forest after this dry season will cost a lot more to pack the debris. It is best to clear your land now.
