I am a muslim...i believe jan 1st isn't associated with christians...it is gregorian...even in dubai thats purely dominated by muslims they recognize jan 1st. They even did count down with fireworks yesterday to celebrate the new year. Muric are just always giving the christians the mouth to say so many bad things about muslims

In response to MURICS statement I actually counted the number of Christian and Muslim and secular holidays that Nigeria gives

1) New years day -Not a religious or christian day. Simply a say off on the first day of the new year. Is a holiday in every country including most Muslim countries

2) Good Friday- Christian holiday

3) Easter Monday - Christian holiday

4) Workers day - Secular holiday

5) Eid al Fitri- Muslim holiday

6) Id al Kabir- Muslim holiday

7) Independence day - Secular holiday

Sambisa memorial day - Secular holiday

9) Christmas day - Christian holiday

10) Boxing day - Secular holiday (while sometimes associated with Christians it's just a day of rest and has nothing to do with christianity)

So Christians have 3 and Muslims 2 holidays. Thus it's not as wildly unfair or unjust as MURIC claims. Maybe give Muslims one more holiday of their choice and then it is perfectly fair.
