Romelu Lukaku step off the bench and score with his first touch as Man United beat Newcastle. And Chelsea struggled to break down stubborn Southampton as both sides settled for a goalless draw in the English Premier League on Wednesday.

Newcastle United 0 - 2 Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku scored with his first touch of the game and Marcus Rashford added another one in the second half as Manchester United won its fourth-straight match under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer with a 2-0 defeat of Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Wednesday.

The win moves United three points back of fifth place Arsenal and six back of fourth place Chelsea.

Newcastle United is now one of three teams on 18 points, two points clear of the drop zone.

Chelsea 0 - 0 Southampton

Angus Gunn‘s first English Premier League start saw a clean sheet and a big point for Southampton, who drew Chelsea 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Gunn was aided by the linesman’s flag, as Alvaro Morata did appear to have a goal in the second half only to be ruled offside.

Chelsea stay fourth, while Southampton remain 18th.

Huddersfield Town 1 - 2 Burnley

Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes scored as Burnley scrapped past Huddersfield Town 2-1 in a game which finished with 10 men on the field for each side at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Steve Mounie scored for Huddersfield, who held an early lead.

Christopher Schindler and Robbie Brady both saw red cards.

The Terriers are eight points adrift of 17th. Burnley moves ahead of the drop zone, level on 18 points with three teams.
