Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation has reacted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, appointment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s niece, Amina Zakari as its head of Collation Center for the 2019 elections. DAILY POST had reported that by her new appointment, Zakari, who was once the Commission’s Director of Operations, will be responsible for announcing the result of the presidential election. Reacting Fani-Kayode wondered if the 2019 general election would be free and fair. He tweeted, “Amina Zakari,Buhari’s neice and a member of his staff when he was Chairman of PTF has been appointed Chairperson of the INEC Advisory Committee & Pres. The saying that “repeat a lie often times and it becomes the truth” is the perfect way to describe this ongoing show of shame by PDP members. Amina Zakari is from Jigawa state and she’s not related to Buhari in anyway, not to talk of being his niece. She was appointed by Jonathan and confirmed by a PDP dominated NASS. Why all the noise about her just some weeks to the election? |
