Mikel made money and has a trophy loaded cabinet. He cannot have many regrets. He might not even have lasted that long at United. Nani and Anderson who came boasting similar talents like. Mikel did not end up winning Balon d'Or. Yorke and Andy Cole were sent packing by Ferguson at United despite their earlier heroics there.

As good as Mikel has been, he was never in the class of Messi despite comparison in youth. And never was going to be.
