Prohibitions that are taken too lightly By: Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid

It is well-known that some of those who follow their desires, who are weak at heart, become irritated when they hear lists of prohibitions. They grumble and mutter, “Everything is haraam, you haven’t left us anything that is not forbidden! You make our lives boring and miserable. You don’t talk about anything but what is haraam, but religion is supposed to be easy, not strict, and Allaah is Forgiving and Merciful.” This essay was written to address these issues.

2. Grave-worship.

21. Having intercourse with one’s wife during her period.
22. Having intercourse with one's wife in her rectum (anus).

The insults are mutual (though I dnt consent to it). Muslims insult christians, n some christians insult muslims, bt dat doesn't mean that u shld put restriction on persons who can make comments, it only shows dat u guys re scared of confrontation.

Some people keep reminding one that common sense is no more common. If I've nothing to do with a topic; why will I even open it in the first place? Must one read every thread on NL? Some people need to grow up, honestly.

Anything bad a Muslim does, u guys go ahead and say it's Islamic or the Prophet taught us that.

Is Muric the sharia body. Muric can fight for whatever it thinks is right.
I agree with some of their stands, some I don't.
Islam isn't about a particular body. Its practicing the deen according to the tenets laid down in the Qur'an and sunnah of the Prophet.
That's why anybody in the Jamaah would distance himself from self serving groups who issue fatwas based on their whims

Uncle... You said Muslims... Are the body (MURIC) Muslims or not...?

Just like Boko Haram... I do not agree with anything they do... But are they Muslims or not...??

If you answer yes to any of my above questions... Then you'll agree with me... Based on facts and based on what you said about "anything bad a MUSLIM does" you can talk about it... We're all bunch of hypocrites...

Just in case you're wondering... I'm a Muslim too... But like I always tell everybody that comes to preach to me... I'm human first... Then I'm a Muslim second...

So... You'll find me in parties... You'll find me keeping company with Christians, atheist and traditionalist... And a fewer Muslim because most of The Muslims I know are closed minded... I don't need that negative energy...

Even on nairaland... The Muslims are secluded...

There are good and bad people.
There are good and bad muslims.
However, there are actions that can expel someone from the folds of Islam.
You might be a Muslim as you claim, yet you frolick and go to parties and all. It doesn't mean Islam is in consonance with such acts. Those are sins which will be recorded and you will be rewarded accordingly if you fail to repent.
I do not say Muric or Boko Haram aren't Muslims but they might err and go against the teaching of Islam and this doesn't mean Islam supports them in those actions.
Hell, I myself listen to tons of haraam music. Its something I'm trying to stop. It doesn't mean since I'm a Muslim its okay to do that.
Islam is pure, Muslims who practice it are bound to have faults. Its the repentance and abstinence that matters.

I will ask you something.
Is fornication a sin? And do you engage in it.
La takrabul Zina, Innahu kana fahishatan wa sa'a sabilah.
If you do does it make it right?

Why must you comment on what you have no ideal about?

Will it look normal if I were to comment on certain things which I have no knowledge about in Christianity?

The problem is some of you who like doing this thing, only know how to talk yourselves into trouble - and the talk are most times off points.

If you have any questions about what you don't understand in Islam ask;not that you turn it into scene of my religion is better than yours.

I will personally not tolerate it without giving you a fitting reply.

After all, nobody called you talk.
You can't teach us what we already know.

These re some of d tinz u ought to endure, knwing dat not all persons will, n re ready to agree, or peacefuly co-exist with ur faith. Patience is a virtue.

I've neva commentd on islam board b4, 2day is actually my 1st, n I'm sure I'll not frequently comment here, bt what I'm opining is dat it's wrong 2 provide a sub-board 4 Islam, n place restrictions so dat non-islamic NLanders can't comment on d board.

Bro, i understand your plight... I believe something happened some years ago that lead to this verification before any one could comment on an Islamic thread.

I would have loved to share the post, but i don't have it. So please understand that there was a reason that lead to this. Besides, Allah has commanded us to respect other faiths. So i don't support the act of muslim going into Christian related thread to bash them for sports or like a form of revenge.

And remember " Lakum di lukum wal yedin"-"لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ"-" To you be your Way, and to me mine."
