Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions offers a basic laparoscopy Training program. The program allows doctors the chance to learn basic laparoscopic skills without compromising patient safety. It exposes surgeons to a daily skills lab where doctors are guided and proctored through various tasks that are needed in the performance of laparoscopic surgery. It exposes doctors to online didactic information from the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). It offers a wet lab where doctors can practice laparoscopic surgery on live animals under anesthesia.

Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions is the only center in Africa that is accredited to be an international testing site for the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery program (FLS) which is a joint offering of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Surgeons will be able to take the FLS exam that gives a 10 year certificate in basic laparoscopy skills.

After competency in basic laparoscopy skills is achieved, surgeons will be allowed to perform surgery in the laparoscopic surgery suite with their first 10 cases proctored by either a laparoscopic general surgeon or a laparoscopic ob/gyn.

We offer 1 and 3 month daily skills lab packages at an extremely affordable rate. We offer a monthly 3 day laparoscopy course with a wet lab.

We accept referrals for laparoscopic cases in addition to encouraging doctors to being the first assistant on any laparoscopic case they refer to us.
